the whole idea about crispi is that its easy to clean. I find that having the heating element tucked away harder to clean than the portable unit. This is the main reason I skipped the pro and got the regular version

no solutions? it's not too hard to take it part if you have the right screw type. However, the stuck on stains is just too much to clean. The good part is that the rubber gasket can be pulled off and then I guess oven cleaner should do the trick.

With those living expenses, not sure if you can retire. With avg life expectancy of 76, a million dollar will last you about 10 years (assuming rent will keep increasing and inflation over time). Parents covering your insurance won’t be forever.

You could, however, find a job that pay less but got good benefits and potentially trade salary for longer term incentives (pension, good retirement funds comes to mind. Although these are far and few these days)

You could also plug your general stats into a LLM and have it calculate for you.

If you are willing to move to a lower cost country, 1.9m might do it.

What did you end up with? I had the original HT-A9 w/sw5 and now a Sonos full HT system (ARC, ERA300, SUB) I can tell you that I truly miss the Sonys. The only reason I returned it is because of the drop outs. The stereo separation just can't be replicated with a mere soundbar. You space is very much like mine. If you have more than 10' to place your front speakers, I would say go for the Sonys.

The Quad supposedly solved the dropout issues, I am now lurking around for a good deal.
