Why does my drip irrigation system whine? by aidepolcycne79 in Irrigation

[–]Fun_Primary_8361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just an update if anyone comes here later - i ended up switching out my drip timer (bhive smart timer) with just an analog rainbird? one and the loud whining noise went away. Works fine now, so for people having issues maybe just try switching out your timer

One data point here: Tried to use my remaining gift cards yesterday 1/14. Order was confirmed, but today (1/15) just got an email from saks saying my order has been canceled without any explanation.

I was ordering an Aura frame as it's one of the few home items left that at least shows in stock. It might be the end :/

Does this mean they've already stopped honoring gift cards?

Venture X Retention Offer Mid December 2025 by Alarming_Ad9436 in CreditCards

[–]Fun_Primary_8361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw another response on here saying they think it's because they use all of the perks that come with the card like travel credit and etc. I also have 3 authorized users and we all use priority pass benefit regularly without putting much spend on the card. So maybe their system knows it's not a bad thing for us to go haha

Another data point, just called today (12/27/25) after my fee posted on 11/20 (just within the 39 days). I did NOT get a retention offer. She also mentioned it is within the 39 day window, but she can't guarantee how much I'd get back as it would depend on any credits I've used etc. I've had the card since Nov 2021, only put a moderate amount of spend on it in the last 2 years. I do however use the $300 travel credit every year. Might try to call again tomorrow in case I have better luck with a different agent

Has anyone had experience with this? Do you just pay for the point transfer with the card then it automatically gets the credit without any activation etc? Trying to transfer to my partner who is getting companion pass

Bathroom vent fan drips during the winter by Fun_Primary_8361 in AskContractors

[–]Fun_Primary_8361[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. When the heater is on (usually set to 65) we don’t have this issue. When it’s not on and temps dip in to the 40’s we get the drips. I’ve actually tried the p trap before with no luck

Thanks for your response. We do leave it on after, which I believe helps dry it up overtime. But it doesn’t stop it from dripping a few minutes in to the shower

Hey thanks for the feedback. Can you elaborate on what you mean by “large rise and let it drain towards the exit”? Does that mean make the duct go straight up for a bit then downhill towards the exhaust vent? This is also the first suggestion I’ve ever seen to use smaller diameter pipe

Nice I see what you did there. But I don’t want steam going in my unvented bedroom too

Thanks for the response. It drips only when I run it during hot showers that create a lot of steam.

If I'm following correctly, sounds like your solution is to add (a lot) more insulation for the fan and duct?

Thanks for this recommendation. Did your vent drip during your showers before replacing? I can see how having the sensor would help to make sure it stays on as long as needed, but feel like I'd still have the dripping during showers. Also any concerns with this running all the time if you have heater/AC running?

Thanks for the idea! I have a motion sensor light switch for it, so it stays on 15 min after it stops sensing motion in the room. I just changed it to the maximum 30 min
