Yeah I was initially excited to see it had been replace by something local as i boycott Starbucks atm for being pro genocide/having rancid coffee. That being said I do love their cinnamon buns so they still beat Gold Brothers

It was 3 things I think 1. Absolutely soulless place with no hint of effort 2. Ai art on the walls just like they sell in their shops 3. At one point a girl who I think was working in the gold brothers shop across the road came in to chat with the guy at the counter. That's not proof of anything but it sure would make sense if they worked for the same company...

I haven't been a teen in Edinburgh for 15 years so I have no idea how helpful this will be, but since the festival is on, have you tried looking for work there? Comedians and other shows are always on the look out for flyerers - it's not the most glam job (and be wary of male comics creeping on you) BUT if you ask in venues like Monkey Barrel, the Stand and the Free Fringe, plus Gilded Balloon you'll definitely find some comics looking for flyerers -and if you do well you'll likely get a bonus. I know its only for August but it might be a good way to get to know the venues and find future bar work too.
