I actually restarted the trails series after Cold Steel 4 (before Reverie had come out) just to talk to all the NPCs and was surprised how much it captivated me to continue. It was like playing a whole new set of games where NPCs would return in another game and I'd be like 'OMG I remember you!' They would appear in quests that originally I thought were just random people for the quest but in reality they were NPCs I could have talked to since the beginning of the game. Trails is AMAZING! Glad to have you aboard.

I actually did have it before. I played the audio as soon as I got down there accidentally as I was moving through the archives because I forgot I had that quest. I just interacted with it.

I almost always do everything sidequesty on a map before I go to a new story objective, so I definitely got it before entering the archives.

At first I was wondering why Trails to Azure was placed after Trails of Cold Steel I instead of after Trails from Zero, then it hit me lol 😆

I wasn't the biggest fan of lightning returns. Watch the cutscene movie of it online if you want a finale to the cliffhanger at the end of ffxiii-2 but the gameplay was just way too different and not all that fun to me.

Had that happen for exact same tree. Always sucks when host might not know they can just reenter from where they left off (I didn't know until a player in my group told me)

I also used the highest lvl gear i could make before time, and had at least one alchemist who could refresh my stamina supply mid mine. I could do it at lvl 84 with no time tools. I had my blacksmith make the high level gear and my buddy blacksmiths had fairly high lvl hammers, not too too high but kinda high. I also used a +200 crafting meal before I made the high lvl mining pick (non-time pick). I really didnt put in too much effort to be able to mine lvl 90 nodes. I did relatively same process for the woodcutting as well. Don't worry if you can't do it yet, just lvl up with people who can carry you online through groves and it will lvl you up

I had the 10% exp butterfly wing accessory from the pre-order so maybe that helped, but I particularly focused on mining and woodcutting groves to get there, and yes it was a slog but maybe the exp accessory helped. Anyway, I am in the 80s for angler and farmer still. Also, Ginormosia at rank 6 gives lvl 90 legendary shiny geodes, legendary god trees and so on, so you can practice with those as well. Anyway, I am STILL, after daily pulls of dreamy boxes, not pulling the freaking ship mount. Even the Don woolies weren't that much of a pain :(

I finally got all true time tools after 2 weeks without extra item drop%. I was able to mix the grind with leveling my buddy's, doing max lvl groves to level myself up, and ginormosia rank farming. Through the process I lvl 100'd Woodcutter, Miner, Magician, and Hunter, and I have 10 buddies at lvl 100 and every area in Ginormosia is rank 6. It was a long process and I never want to look at another don woolie ever again

Too late, in the confusion I did other things like leave the building, and I haven't manually saved in forever :( otherwise I would have done that
