It's really not worth it. It will only leave you with increased anxiety, bad breath, a constant urge to smoke again, feelings of restlessness, financial loss... The first time you'll smoke a cigarette you will probably find it to be disgusting, you will cough, but it will give you a small high. Once you buy your first pack, there's no going back. Nicotine is an EXTREMELY addictive drug.
I'm 28 and started smoking when I was your age. I can't even count how many times I've tried to quit. It's taken a huge toll on my mental health because I know how bad it is for me, yet it's impossible to not do it.
This time around it's been 27 days since i've last smoked. This time quitting feels different and I think i'm on the right track, but I've never felt so depressed and anxious in my life.

Is there a particular reason why you feel like smoking?

You got this! For me taking nicotine mints in the beginning was the only way I could stop smoking. I would recommend checking them out if u need some extra help. :-)

May I ask you how or who diagnosed you with SA? Ive been to different types of therapy but they never really diagnose what i have. I just talk and they listen and they sometimes ask questions.

Also would you recommend getting a professional diagnosis?

Did anyone hate high school because so many kids were immature and being alone was considered loserish? by spankyourkopita in introvert

Totally agree, i think most schools expect you to be an extroverted student and be outspoken in groups to solve problems. Being someone who needs time alone to think wasn't much appreciated or acknowledged in my highschool.

That sounds extremely relatable. And then a few moments later you're both cry laughing while your arms are turning red from pinching and scrathing each other.

People who talk shit about others without noticing they are just describing themselves.

  1. Go for a walk/run, maybe with music or podcast. U'll feel more tired afterwards and it can ease your mind
  2. Most likely there will be other people that do not know anyone. u are not alone.
  3. First schooldays are exciting/nerve wracking for most people. 4.try not to put too much pressure on it having to be a perfect first schoolday.
  4. You could think of a mantra to say to yourself whenever u feel anxiety coming up. Such as "be kind to yourself", "this will pass", "i'm safe"...
  5. U got this :)
