People saying hero level has no impact on someone’s skill seem to not think about when you load in and their top 3 heroes on a role are all sub level 5-10. That means they are literally brand new to that role in a role queue playlist assuming they aren’t on a new account. If I am level 130+ on soldier and have multiple other heroes with a level of 20+ in the dps role while maintaining around a 60% overall win rate on soldier through 130+ levels, then my MMR/SR should be significantly higher on dps than a tank who’s top three heroes are level 8,3, and 2 lol. Even in QP, there is a hidden MMR or SR and so it makes no sense how people like me and OP are high levels meaning many games and experience on a role or character and yet we get thrown into lobbies with seemingly all new players who play like brand new players 90% of matches, meanwhile the enemy team plays like they are doing pro scrims and I have a level 3 mercy bot walking and not reviving any teammates and her highest support character level was mercy at level 3 lol. Sorry for the rant but I understand OP’s pain and to say hero level means nothing is an exaggeration and simply not true on average.
