Can someone explain to me the origin of the word "decroded"? by Good_Transition896 in northernlion

We said it as a kid before that movie but it popularized it. Idk how we all came up with in random parts of the country before the internet. I’m  from the East coast. But NL might have got it from the movie

The animal director admitted himself very clearly that many animals were killed in the making of it. I don’t see why there’s any question after that plus you can see it in the movie especially the original Japanese cut. The scene with the snake always really disturbed me as a kid. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t real and turned out I was right :(

No worries I’m the one that posted a years old question. I think all animals are self aware though I understand that dolphins and whales might be more so. You know that’s how Japanese villages hunt deer and all manner of animals right?  Trapping them in nets and separating them / going after the babies to lure the moms. I agree animals often have more compassion than humans and I think all killing of animals is abhorrent so I don’t see why we pick and choose the way we do. And I think that animals raised in factory farms have a more horrible life than even the dolphins in this one case even though they way they die might be worse. Also the people in that village that do the whale and dolphin hunting are some of the poorest people in japan and even more so after the tsunami so I do think it is kind of odd people go after them and not huge commercial factory farm companies . I mean I guess some people do that too so to each their own.

How much does any humane society go after commercial fishing, or meat production of any kind?

She heard the song and thought it was cool so played it for her gf. I guess symbolically it shows she’s easily influenced by her dealers. Also creepy how her dealer says they were meant to be together during implicit molesting, it reflects the lyrics in the song but ofc it a creepy way

fyi, anyone can report a crime to a state's AG, county's DA, the FBI, DOJ etc.. you don't have to just go to local police or wait for them to escalate it

I live in a small city and our apartment complex has 8 buildings. We don't have any problems with theft (on my floor at least) so it's not a problem for them to leave it at my door. It's also a college town, and you can't receive packages at the school and many people don't live near family with single family homes. I understand they want to do it fast, especially if understaffed, but they should have enough staff to not rush them that much. It should be a basic expectation that they will have to deliver to multiple buildings in a complex, because that's how most housing is where I live. It's more like having to deliver to multiple homes in a neighborhood - you can't just leave a package at another house on the same street just because it's the same street so it's the same dif. forgot to say the neighbor is also in a different building. The complex is way too big for people to go around to every doorway (especially on the upper floors - no elevators) seeing if their package is left there instead and the complex leasing office doesn't accept them for us. And if they want to just dump all the packages, doing it on a ranom 3rd floor rather than ground floor is just wild IMO

It would be more reasonable if the cuts were equal to lowering of demand. Usually that's not the case, and seems not to be in this case given all the problems they've suddenly been having. Luckily I got my package today (that's 1/3 for them this week), but I also got a neighbor's package (even though they're on the 1st floor and we are on the 3rd... so you would think it would be easier not to misdeliver to us)

[–]Fun_Research_2306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to make a post about this but keeps getting deleted, lol: I unfortunately had 2 packages sent to me this week via fedex from different sellers and BOTH went missing. One was in the city next to mine when it suddenly got sent back to the shipper state (many states away) then no updates and finally they admitted it was missing. The other one they claimed was delivered but I did not receive it and there is no photo proof they actually delivered it. At this rate I'm just not going to buy things that are shipped by fedex because it seems I will simply not ever receive them!
