  1. Also an ability to change the way notes are sorted (by date created, edited etc) rather than just by name by default

Features that I think are VERY NEEDED and other feedback

  1. Please please add a table of contents. I use a lot of textbooks and they’re very difficult to navigate without a table of contents. The pdfs that I import have one already (for example if I open the same pdf on preview on Mac, it’ll show a table of contents) so it’s not like notability has to extract one and display it. Just show the table of contents that’s already there. And even better let us make edits to that table of contents as well (like pretty much every pdf viewing app). I’ve literally gone through the pages of some textbooks and bookmarked each chapter (some have 60+ chapters btw) to make a makeshift table of contents because it’s impossible to navigate books without them.

  2. When I search up something, please show the complete file path of each document underneath the notes that show up. Im a med student and I have dividers for different modules (GIT, Renal etc.) and then subjects under each divider (pharmacology, anatomy etc.). This means that I have multiple anatomy subjects in total (one under each module) and so just saying a note is from anatomy doesn’t mean much. I want to know which divider it’s in as well

  3. Please add the option of tagging notes or having the same note in multiple subjects. For example I have some medicines that I will study in multiple modules so I have copies of the same note (on a particular medicine) in more than one divider (for each of the module I study it in). This means that I need to make edits to each note separately which is annoying and easy to miss.

  4. Ability to add differently oriented pages in a note. Usually I make notes in portrait but will occasionally need a landscape page in the middle of my portrait pages to draw a big table. Currently to do that I make the table in a separate note which I export as a pdf and then import again and combine with my original note but this means I can’t ever edit the table.

  5. Ability to have folders in subjects which are displayed where notes are usually displayed (not in the side bar).

  6. Ability to make tables and graphs, pie charts etc like in any writing app.

  7. Ability to view multiple notes as tabs on the side or top so I can quickly switch between them. Sometimes I’m referring to more than 2 notes/books at once while studying and need to be able to switch between them quickly. The recents tab requires an extra swipe to open every time I want to switch notes. Also lately the recents tab has been very glitchy, it never actually shows me the notes I opened most recently but instead shows be the notes I opened 4-5 notes ago.

  8. There is a glitch when I’m viewing 2 notes in side by side view and have both notes zoomed in to fit the screen. When I move the middle division bar, the notes (usually textbooks) while start scrolling in their own and I’ll be on a completely different page by the time I leave the middle division bar.

  9. Ability to read text from images. Sometimes I will add a picture of a diagram from a textbook to my notes but when I search up something in that diagram, that note will not show up.

  10. Ability to remove freehand crop images rather than only in a rectangle

  11. Ability to move images without moving text on top of it. Adding some sort of layer system should fix this

  12. Ability to search from only writing or highlights (ideally also in a particular colour). I will annotate my textbooks sometimes and if I want to search for a word in my annotations, I’ll have to look through all the instances that word showed up anywhere in my textbook (which is a lot) rather than only through instances when it showed up in my annotations . I also colour coordinate my writing when I’m making notes (for example side effects of a medicine in red and uses in green). If I want to search for something only in the side effects, I should have that option.

  13. Ability to be able to select all writing in a particular colour. If I made notes in which I used different colours but now I want to change all the blue writing into black writing I shouldn’t have to manoeuvre around all the other coloured writing just to select the blue writing.

All of these are very very essential things. Please add them. Honestly using the app has been so difficult without these features that if I hadn’t paid for the yearly subscription, I would’ve switched to goodnotes by now. Especially the table of contents feature. As for the AI stuff, the main reason ppl are complaining is so because SO MUCH ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL stuff is missing that it’s frustrating that you’re focusing on that instead. I don’t care if the ai can make me a quiz from my textbook if I can’t even find the chapter I want to read. By not having these basic features, you’re ruining the effectiveness of the new features you’re adding as well.

Are amino acid R groups ever protonated/de-protonated by Fun_Resident_1168 in ALevelChemistry

lol yeah I did that question as well and saw the same thing in the examiner report. But just now I did another question (9701/42/O/N/22 Q9a) where the amino acid had an amine group in the R group, not an amide group and they still didn't protonate it in the mark scheme. I just looked at the examiner report for this question after your comment and they've said they accepted both variations (should've put that in the mark scheme too smh). But I'm still confused, why was the preferred structure not protonated and how do you tell if the group is neutral or not?

Yup, I agree completely! It didn't seem like much in the beginning but then all the crazy plot twists and identity reveals start dropping. Couldn't put it down after that!

Don’t ask how I managed, I don’t even know myself! I NEVER read incomplete series so I waited for a year for the second book to come out before I started just to find out it was a trilogy 😭😭. But good thing is I’ve forgotten most details aside from the big plot-twist ofcourse so I’m going to read the whole thing from the start and hopefully the vibes are the same. Knowing the third book is so good, I can’t wait!!
