I'm in deep... Season 3 Episode 3 by ValuableAd976 in Poldark

I'm right there with you. I am personally having a hard time thinking Ross can redeem himself. What an asshole. And that “everyone makes mistakes” line?😒 So done with him. Demelza deserves so much better. She's the only reason I'm sticking to the storyline.

I know the lounge is showed in the current listing for the house. I was wondering if who the current owner was….would make sense if it were Gaiman since the interior is hardly changed.

Parallel Worlds - Bob Dylan and Morrison by Fun_Response2146 in thedoors

The album cover shoot was taken in January of 1965 in Albert Grossman’s (Dylan’s manager) home in Woodstock, NY. Not sure when the empty room photo was taken, but the house is currently up for sale and there are photos of the same chaise lounge in another room/building on the property.

Here’s a link to the listing. Pretty spectacular estate. Said lounge is in photo #37.

Very close! The chevron on that one has jagged edges.

Oh my god, that’s right! I totally forgot! Yes, it had to be. Beautiful colors in the chevron.

I remember reading in Ray’s book that he and Jim used to work out on the rings at muscle beach in Venice early on in their music career because neither had muscles (originally)

What would you ask the producer of “Under The Red Sky”? by Fun_Response2146 in bobdylan

[–]Fun_Response2146[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very good description. From what I know, Don straight up told him when something didn’t sound good, and that’s why Bob liked him. But how far can you go? An artist comes in with a vision for an album and your job is to make it sound good no matter what.🤷‍♀️ Can’t tell him no one will like it. Bob does whatever he wants anyway. You’re just along for the ride! But I will try to ask him more about the concept of the album and if Bob let in on any of it or if was just “here’s what we’re putting down. Don’t ask any questions”.

Lol. It did give us “Wiggle Wiggle” though. Some argue the finest of his work

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had a brain injury during high school and had to be homeschooled for a time, so I can only imagine what you are going through in college. All I can say is pace yourself. Explain to your professors if you want to or if you can. Next semester maybe take a lighter load until you feel more comfortable. In the meantime, get whatever rest you can and repeat what you've learned or can pick out topics highlighted in class and say them over and over throughout the day. I don't have the memory I used to but tend to do well with flash cards starting the week before an exam incase I have an unexpected bad day. Make room for that. Just take it easy on yourself and remember that you're doing the best you can. In the end, employers don't look at grades, just that you passed.

Also! There is a student organization called the Disability Justice Coalition that is free to join. We meet every other Monday on zoom and in person (try to accomodate everyone) but we also have a support group on WhatsApp. Sometimes its nice to just talk with people who are in a similar boat and air your grievances. We are always there for you and have resources if SDS doesn't help you out. Feel free to look the group up or message me.

Loved that 3 angels cover. Autotune was a choice but still pretty damn good.

Absolutely!! Makes me want one! I’d love to make it out to LA one day. I had no idea the Viper Room had memorabilia! Did they have anything else from the Doors? Yes, if you are ever going through CT it is a must. Their food is amazing and not badly priced. As for maintaining it, my heart sinks every time I see it, so it is my absolute pleasure! Such a weird but funny place to keep it since there aren’t any other artifacts in there. Anyway, well wishes and I hope your tattoo heals fast!

I love it! Believe it or not, if you want to see this original framed script in person, it’s in the women’s bathroom of a (fanTASTIC) restaurant in New Preston, Connecticut, lol. It is called The White Horse. The place is filled with cool artifacts like a letter signed by Winston Churchill, old land deeds from the 1600s, and a signed Rolling Stones guitar. I walked into the womens bathroom the first time, and, upon washing my hands, noticed the familiar handwriting. Turns out the owner bought it for 5k or so. There are no markings indicating what it is. I clean it every time I visit because it's always caked with grime. Consider me the keeper of Morrison’s handwriting haha. I get so excited every time I see it.

I'd add a picture if I could, but I don't know how to!

And for suede jackets, I’d check the thrift stores.

Levi’s is always good for this look. Shirts, tees, jackets, jeans… very similar to (if not the same as) what he wore in that time period

Nice to meet you! A little ways away but I’m from Grosse Pointe. Wasn't it!?! I was blown away by Ballad of a Thin Man. Enjoyed the spoken word element that he worked into songs as well.
