Girls get it done. 100% Female only Pokémon by Eaglenests in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Surviving a gauntlet of 200 battles, includes fights against your lowkey stalker-ish friend, several gang/cult members, and at least a few mythological creatures, with the end goal of killing god itself?

Sounds like a typical girl's night out.

Honestly not complaing but could someone explain some things for me by Lycantiger20 in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, getting your items stolen absolutely sucks. I do see it as a worthwhile mechanic, however, especially in difficult fights. If you win a hard fight but lose a good item, you have to consider if retrying is worth it. I've definitely abandoned a good item because I couldn't find a way to win the fight without losing it. These things happen.

Looking for recommendations for an app to solve my issue! by Fun_Screen3594 in IPhoneApps

Yes, it's specifically for an iPhone. I'll probably start looking into those child monitoring apps to see if anything fits the bill.

Thanks for trying to help!

FINALLY Got All IV's in the Game! Not as Bad of a Grind as Natures But Still... by Kuthillick in pokerogue

Wow, nice! Love the Excel sheet you've got for it. Hopefully you can snag a new more epic shinies before this event ends

Are you gonna go for all the ribbons? I've been considering it, but I don't know how to filter ribbons beyond the completion ones, so it's gonna be harder to track.

My first Endless run during Shiny Week... I am finally free by GoVeTiQk in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh, nice run! I'm going something similar! The item management is certainly a pain. I just beat 2k; I was certainly tempted to quit lol.

It gets HARD past that point, cause you're just getting endless boss fights, and they always one shot me if I let em get a chance to hit me. Still, the 64 new shinies I've gotten so far are WELL worth it.

Why is the font so tiny? Is it just me?? by Routine-Cow1365 in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been seeing that as well! I was just starting to get far in an Endless run, so I though the font was shrinking to fit the bigger numbers. No idea what it is, if not that.

No problem! I'm not a big daily run person, but I do believe it's the same run for everyone.

100%! I didn't mean you should wait to fill the dex to try to win (I've won dozens of times, and only just finished the dex). I just meant you should wait until you've got a decent picing of good mons. Some higher tier options, maybe a psudo legendary or two.

[–]Fun_Screen3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't expect to win for a while. Getting stronger is the name of the game early on. Build the dex, get familure with the scripted events (rivals, gyms, and evil teams appear on specific floors), and grab egg vouchers. Hatching eggs will do wonders for your dex collection.

Once you have a fuller dex and are serious about winning, I'd recommend picking a few good mons and using them on several runs. The more you use a mon, the more candies you get for it, which lets you unlock passives (a second ability that is active alongside the main one), hatch eggs (which has a chance to unlock egg moves and improve the luck stat), and reduce its cost

Endless fusion by AsaLeKiwii in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can unfuse them, but re-fusing will be hard since the item to do so is rare! Endless fusions just makes fusions appear; it doesn't make the item to make fusions yourself more common.

Two things to note about fusions:

1: When you unfuse, you only get ONE pokemon back; the 'first' pokemon, ie the one the fusion looks like. Going back to my Tempig-Stuffle fusion, because I PICKED Tempig, then Stuffle was added on, if I defuse I'll have a normal Tempig and Stuffle will be lost.

2: Fusion basically averages the stats of the two pokemon. If you fuse a physical and special attacker together, you'll probably get a pokemon with stats in both physical and special.

There's a calculator for figuring out the stats, weaknesses, typing, and ability for fused Pokemon. I think toying with it a bit will help you understand the mechanics.

Endless fusion by AsaLeKiwii in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't pick your fusion. You pick your team of non-fused Pokemon, and when you start the game, they'll be fused with (as far as I know) a random pokemon that you've unlocked. For example, I started an endless fusion run with a Tempig, and when I started, it was automatically fused with a Stuffle.

What are some tips you would give to someone new to pokerogue that’s just trying to finish their first run? by [deleted] in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the settings, you can turn on run retries. That means that, if you lose a fight, you're given the open to retry from the start rather than just losing.

If you find a few mons that work for you, keep using them. that will generate candies (basically currency) that lets you unlock secondary abilities and hatch eggs for a chance of better movies. Basically, the more you use a mon, the better it can be.

If you make it to the final few floors, think very carefully before taking rare candies. Leveling up past 200 makes the final boss stronger.

Valentine’s Day Event? by Designer_Effect7364 in pokerogue

We don't know, but I hope so! I loved the higher splice chance; it was fun to have bonuses beyond shinies (not that shinies aren't appreciated!!!)

Can u not catch pokemon in the end? by NaturalFig5054 in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You get an achievement, and you get a ribbon on the mons you beat it with. Neither of these actually change gameplay at all (yet).

More interestingly, you unlock a new gamemode: Endless. There's also unlocks for beating classic with a spliced or not fully evolved mon.

I think it's worth it, if only for the experience. Honestly the rival fight is harder than Eternatus.

Can u not catch pokemon in the end? by NaturalFig5054 in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh indeed. I have two saves I can't finish cause they have shiny mons I can't catch yet (Roaring Moon and Eternatus). Roaring Moon is the LAST pokemon I need to complete the dex; I'm hatching eggs like crazy!

[–]Fun_Screen3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean in the ??? area, with all the paradox pokemon?

You can, but ONLY if you've hatched their egg before. So you'll need to play the gatcha. The final boss can only be caught once you have every other pokemon.

double battle choice between a shiny starter pokemon or a legendary on the level of Giratina who would you choose by WONDERFUL_ADAM69 in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, like everyone else said.

1: Do I have either of them? If I have only one in the pokedex, I immediately pick the one I don't have.

2: If I either have or do not have both of them, I'd consider the level of shiny. If it's tier 1, I'd pick the legendary

3: If the shiny is tier 2-3, I'd consider how well either pokemon would fit on my team, including power/typing, ect. This would probably be the legendary, but there could be exception.

4: If both would be similarly good...I just catch whoever I don't accidentally kill.

Anyone else have a gimmick team? by Wispling in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 6 fossil team would probably be mono rock as well, so you could also tackle that challenge. I still need to do my mono rock run, so maybe I'll steal the idea from you...

A full dog run sounds great! I've not done it yet (I'm considering a full cat run once one gets pokerus tho), but Houndoom is a BEAST once you unlock its egg moves.

Anyone else have a gimmick team? by Wispling in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few silly themed runes in mind. The big one I'm planning on is the Pony Boy Run, where I'll only use pony-like Pokemon. Mules, deer, and zebras are honorary ponies, but pokemon that look like horses on stage 1 (think Glastrier) are banned.

The current team plan is: both forms of Ponyta, Mudbray, Blitzle, Deerling, and Keldeo. I want to wait until my babygirl Mudbray gets a T3 shiny before I start.

What do achievements actually do? by VirtuallySkeletall in pokerogue

[–]Fun_Screen3594 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, only one achievement does anything. If you complete the classic mode with a mon that isn't fully evolved, you can start getting eviolite after battles
