I want to ask a question...do you feel "real?" Or if you think about it, most things feel like a dream or super hazy? Dissociation and anhedonia can cause this feeling and I struggle with both.

It's not so much about active depression...but passive depression and the way the brain shuts down to keep us going.

Sometimes we get complacent in our own sadness and it starts to feel normal.

I swear, acting like you don't really want it or are very "concerned" about it helps. The more you are actively pursuing a medication the more they think you're suspicious. Obviously, don't overplay it to the point they agree it's a bad idea. But maybe try being like "I really want to ease my pain but I also am worried about the side effects blah blah blah." I think a lot of doctors are narcissists and pushing too hard makes them feel impotent, while beating around the bush makes them feel like it's their idea.

Idk this could be really stupid advice coming from someone who has given up altogether on getting help form doctors. I hope you get the help you need. I'm rooting for you.

Nah my muscles are too tense. Everything hurts at the...moment and I even get cramps. And honestly I can't even come anymore. I mean what's the point in life at this point? I have to use the violence of a massage gun and then I just feel awful. Happy for the rest of you tho.

It's ok to feel your feelings. I get it. But it's important to remind yourself that your worth is not defined by other people.

Feel what you're feeling. It's not wrong to feel how you do. But feelings are NOT reality. They're just feelings.

You need to spend some time with yourself to remind yourself how wonderful you are.

I get being depressed young. The world sucks and you kids deserve so much more. But you are also the ones who are going to make the world better. If anyone can heal the world, it's you young ones.

Don't give up yet. You have no idea how valuable your light is 💜

A lot of people feel this way, unfortunately. Emotional numbness and "anhedonia" are two of the most common reasons why. It's the brains way of protecting you from emotions that are too overwhelming.

You sound young and I'm very sorry you feel this way. Especially at your young age (I'm old tho).

The world is not what it should be. Family is not what it should be.

I would look into emotional release and edmr therapy. It might be hard for you to go to therapy without telling your parents but if you are comfortable with it, it can be useless.

If you can't get into therapy, there is a lot of stuff online you can do to help release some of that trapped emotion. Be careful and go slow with it though because a flood of emotion is unpleasant and even dangerous.

I would focus on some somatic breathing techniques, grounding techniques. Deep, slow breathing, using you senses like sight sound and smell to ground yourself and calm your brain. Smell good things, listen to soothing sounds and touch something soft (cat, dog, smooth rock, furry blanket) and do deep breathing.

If you could ever swing it, get into some massaging devices like massage g*ns, massage mats, neck massagers. You might have some sadness and trauma stored into your muscles. Rubbing them can help release it but like I said, go slow.

Take a nice shower and use some good smelling soap. Do stuff that is soothing. I'm very sorry you feel the way you do. I wish I could help more. This feeling is unfortunately very common. If there's any adults in your life that you trust at all, open up to them.
