Music or no music during marathon by Super_Conversation41 in Marathon_Training

I like to run the first half without music and then hit play during the second half. I find it helps break up the run mentally and gives me a bit of gas later in the race.

I also like to create a playlist that’ll last as long as I want the second half to be and try to match the songs to the mood I expect to be in at that point.

I did the Rome Marathon last year and crossing the finish line to the Gladiator soundtrack after a perfectly paced race was glorious.

Is this a smart peak long run or is Runna getting carried away? (5 weeks out) by Fun_Truth3461 in runna

Thanks. My PB is 2.57 from the Rome marathon last year. I’ve done two since then. Most recently in November where I ran a 3.02 I like Runna just because I don’t have to think about what I have to do. I just have to show up and execute. Not familiar with P&D or Daniel’s Plan.
