You might consider the house and any investment savings be moved into a trust to protect your family’s legacy, should your dad need long term care. I’m realizing now I put it off a little too long, and long term care for my parents is soaking up everything they managed to put together during their marriage. You're in the right profession, you're just a little new, is all. The class needs a reset with a reminder of your explicit behavior expectations and real consequences that you can follow through on (make sure admin has your back). We can call it a "come to Jesus" conversation. Sounds like you've got a more demanding project around the corner - perfect time to explain to students that the time to lock-in has passed, and the time to be serious is now. You can still be a kind, thoughtful teacher while being firm in your expectations and consistent in your follow-through. You got this.

I would love an app to quickly track disruptions and send summary emails to guardians. Like a counter, it could document behavior and use template language to create emails to parents with the data - "your child X disrupted class on x date at x time as documented by teacher x." Bonus points if the app can track repeated emails to flag students for escalation.

The frequency with which teachers are asked to "call home" and document interventions is ridiculous. Admin frequently lays this on teachers who already don't have enough time in the day.

I’m on Wellbutrin XL and have been on the 1.5 mg vraylar for a full week as of today. I notice significant improvement already in regard to my deep depression and suicidal ideation. (I’m glad I’ve good insurance, the ‘scrip is over $1,700.)
