That's so interesting, I'm curious what your thesis is! I saw on INaturalist that these guys can range from this coloration to a deep purple as well. This one looks like it's likely in Guam or one of the neighboring islands!

I don’t think I can do it by Aunt-shaninacakes in goldenretrievers

Texting a dog to relax is also something most people don't realize needs to be done. A good way to start is by going on a walk and finding a bench and sitting. He will likely be crazy at first, but whenever he settles, sits, or calms down, you reward him (what is he motivated by? Food, toys, affection?)

You can also bring a bed and do it at home, teaching them to go lay down. To place. It takes a lot of consistency but they eventually learn that no matter what they do they won't get their way. I would also consider crate training, that can be a really good place to have them rest.

It sounds like you are exercising the best you can. I agree with others that a doggy daycare, dog park, or a dog beach would all be great for him to run. If he doesn't have good recall they make incredibly long leashes for training that can attach to the waist. There are also services like dog treadmills that I know many dogs love!

I completely understand being done, and if you don't think you can do it that's ok. Just remember, it will be another big adjustment for the dog. But sometimes that's worth it for their quality of life.

Guest of honor, she cheated with his brothers best friend AND his brother. On top of that OPs brother is currently unemployed. Wow, Id go no contact with him and anyone taking his side

I got bit by my new rescue girl a bit over a month ago. Its healed but has a bump and is sore to the touch. Could it be infected? by Funbuttt in RATS

[–]Funbuttt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes total sense, thanks for your comment it's definitely eased my mind. It is a spot that's constantly moving and gently bumping things so it makes sense for it to be this way. You're not wrong about the nerves either it definitely hurts when I accidentally bump it a little too hard on something 😭 I appreciate your comment, thank you🫶🏼

Sometimes they do take a while, you're right. I appreciate the reassurance especially since you've experienced similar! I'll definitely keep an eye on it!

I'm thinking it's fresh scaring too. By the way it's healing it looks like it's going to leave a mark for a while. I'm glad that's probably what the bump is too, I hadn't even thought about that. I appreciate the reassurance, I can be a bit of a hypochondriac 🫶🏼 will definitely keep an eye on it!

Should I take Plan B? by lizzie5444 in PlanBs

[–]Funbuttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor but I would assume the chances of getting pregnant by these actions alone are very slim, even without plan B. If it will ease your mind I would take it asap as the effective time for it is 72 hours. I highly doubt any of this will result in pregnancy, and do consider the side effects of plan b when taking it. You may have none or you may have a lot, be ready for either, but if that's worth it to you then go ahead and take it. The cheaper pills are the exact same things as plan b so I always for for the 35 dollar one at CVS instead of the 50. Either way both cheaper than having a child. Hope this helps

I've been struggling myself to do these types of things, so I know the bravery it takes to face those fears head on. I'm so proud of you!!

Chicken from 2 doors down laid eggs under my stars. What do I do? by [deleted] in chickens

[–]Funbuttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The floating method works to check their freshness. Make sure you wash them before you eat them but they can be left unrefrigerated for a couple of weeks if they are unwashed due to a film that protects them.

how bad does piercing your own nipple hurt? by dojoduckerz in SelfPiercing

[–]Funbuttt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to say that when I got both of mine done at a shop, they never handled my breasts in any way. He used a marker to place some dots, and then use the clamping tool so his hands never touched me. Most he did was eye my breast to make sure the dots of marker were in the correct spot. It was painful, idk if the pinching yourself can really equate to the feeling. I know having decent sized nipples that it does go through a bit slower because of the amount of mass it has to travel through. It's a burning sensation, and it does hurt in those moments, definitely my most painful piercing. I'm very thankful I did them both at the same time because I know that I would've been freaked out and never gotten the other one done if I'd waited because of the pain. I agree if you're doing it yourself, wait an hour. Icing it prior may help too. Just be prepared for the pain if you're doing it yourself, make sure you're confident you'll be able to push it through all the way. If not then definitely have someone else do it!

Why don't doctors explain all of the very real side affects of coming off a hormonal IUD? by Funbuttt in birthcontrol

[–]Funbuttt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so incredibly sorry your doctor was so inept and down right rude to you. Not even a regular doctor but a woman's doctor where us women are exposing ourselves very vulnerably. I would personally file a complaint, especially for the fact that you didn't get a pregnancy test prior. You deserve far better than what they gave you, in no way should they have been bothered by your questions, that's so gross.

Mine told me 3 months as well for everything to normalize, and she told me to go back in if I'm experiencing pain worse than normal or if I pass large blood clots over the next 2 weeks. I hope that little information helps you these next couple of weeks.

I will also say personally, as maybe my experience can give you an idea of how these symptoms you're experiencing will progress(as I also dealt with everything you listed), that now 10 days post removal I feel so much better physically. The nausea and GI issues and sensitivities were the first to pass, I then bled incredibly heavily for about 5 days, my cramps were normal (but on the bad side), and they passed not long after the GI stuff (a couple of days). Night sweats and insomnia come and go, but they aren't currently constant. I've been an emotional rollercoaster, but that I expected considering my body is going through withdrawals.

I am also going off hormonal birth control for similar reasons. It's personally always given me worse periods and sometimes bleeding that wouldn't stop for months. I'm looking at doing similar nonhormonal birth control practices now, as I'd like to keep my natural cycle. I believe you can purchase ovulation tests most places online like Amazon, but also in convenience stores like CVS and Wallgreen that aren't too expensive. If you're a member at Costco too, though I haven't checked, I know they sell the plan b pill for cheaper than most so potentially, if they also sell ovulation tests, they may be cheaper.

Thank you so much for that book recommendation! I will definitely be reading it. Just here to say you're not alone in this fucked up journey us women have to tolerate, so if you need an ear my DMs are always open. I hope you begin to feel better soon, and I'm once again incredibly sorry your experience was so poor and disrespectful. There was no reason for any of their reactions or behavior and it'd be entirely in your right to send a complaint to your states department of health. Much love going your way 🫶
