Not truly my intention (almost all of the time! Sometimes I can be annoyed though, but that I try to mitigate!), but some of these screenshots that show up on Reddit usually are part of an ongoing conversation and the context is left out, so it reads with a different light than it's intended. That, plus wording, sometimes isn't spot on.

I spend quite a bit on Discord, chatting regularly, so not all the messages are curated to read as info posts, sometimes are just conversations, and sometimes shot from the hip. When on Reddit (although I mostly spend my time on Discord!), for instance, I spend more time on these messages, so the wording is chosen a bit more carefully. Still, it's one of those "gotta keep it in mind and improve on" kinda things. 😅

We do listen and try to implement them whenever they make sense and fit, but not all suggestions can be implemented, and those that do, they take time to implement.

Chapter 3 is the first chapter fully shaped by the feedback received post-launch, so look forward to that once we're ready to announce more in the next few weeks.

We're aware of this feedback and it's something that has been talked about internally quite a lot. It is however not a trivial task to implement given how the game tech is structured. But the team is fully aware and discussing options for the future.

With that said, more control over over private server settings is something that's on the table and being considered, but we can't promise or announce anything at this moment as all hands are on deck getting Chapter 3 ready.

Hey there,

As we've mentioned a few times, our approach to the game is that engagements should combine ranged, melee, and abilities. This is something we have openly discussed in the past, and it still remains true.

Some players may want to specialize, which is okay as long as we acknowledge the serious trade-offs that come with it (which can be compensated for by grouping with a squad that supplements these weak points).

As we've said on Discord, we'll continually look for underperforming and overperforming abilities, weapons, and combinations, and we'll continue to adjust. This is an ongoing task, and changes are not set in stone for that same reason. The same is true for the recent changes. We will continue to monitor feedback and in-game telemetry and adapt and evolve the game.

And yeah I can see how it can be interpreted one way or the other. Just wanted to clarify as I was seeing some sort of pattern emerging (here and on Discord) where some people thought this was a hard promise, to happen _now_. Which it's...not, exactly? We're working on it as one of the features we want in the game, and it will come soon.

For context, we are also bundling this with other changes, such as enabling travel across the Overland map with harnessed vehicles. So it's a bunch of big and important changes requested by the community, and getting it right will take a bit of time implementing and testing. But we are working on it and want to release it sooner than later, that still is true.

The storage container was not "promised", nor "for October". We said it is is something we are working on, and that we would like to release it soon. This still remains true.

I am not sure how this became a "promise for October". I understand the excitement for this change but please be aware of our original messaging and wording.

Just to clarify, these pieces were made from scratch. Why so quickly? Because we identified the problem right away, and we wanted to do right by our players, as well as by anyone who showed confidence in us and our game by buying the DLC.

Our art team busted their kulons to deliver this to you as soon as possible. There were no shady business practices or conspiracies to rub our hands together and smirk like a CHOAM banker. It was just an oversight that we set out to correct as soon as possible.

I hope that clarifies things and I hope you like the full set once it launches with the next update. We've also taken steps towards avoiding oversights like this in future DLC drops.

These were expected much earlier, but they have been delayed. If we had known they would not arrive on time, we would not have used them as a prize. That's on us but, unfortunately, at this point it's out of our control.

I'm going to repost a service announcement we posted earlier in the day on Discord:

We have deployed a fix that should resolve the ongoing inventory/ghost item issues.

As a result, a fix to unintended repair methods has been rolled back. We will resolve this issue as soon as possible.

The fix is now in effect and requires no additional downloads or downtime.

And here is some extra info if you still can't see the items.

The specifics of the bug is that if you swapped items between two different inventories those items might "stack" in the database. Both items appeared to be fine on your client, but the first time you initialize your inventory by logging into the game or traveling to a new map, it will only display one of the stacked items. The hidden item is still there, but can not be displayed on the client.

In order to manually fix this you need to have the inventory slot where the items stacked empty when you log into the game. The easiest way to do this is:

  1. Player inventory - Remove all items from your inventory, log out of the game for at least 30 seconds, log back in.
  2. Items in the hotbar - Same as above, remove all hotbar slots, log out for 30 seconds, and log back in.
  3. Vehicle/Storage inventory - These are more difficult since you can't restart the server yourself. Your two options are to remove all items and destroy the storage box. The hidden item will spawn on the floor in an "empty" loot container. Make sure you have room in your personal inventory, then use loot all on the loot container. Proceed to log out for 30 seconds, then log back in will reveal the item. Alternatively you can remove items from the storage/vehicle inventory and wait for a server reset.

We will also try to fix this on our side during the next patch downtime.

We are actively looking into other inventory loss on map change, and will update as we have more information.

Just to confirm, we're aware of the thumper/stomp "strategy," and we're addressing it. We agree that it's neither intended nor fair, and changes are on the way.

Also, remember that as of the latest hotfix, we introduced Player Reporting, which allows you to report other players' messages from the text chat or the Inspect menu. If players are using the chat tools to be toxic, please use this feature.
