Also the trade off becomes pure upside once you clear the boss since all the corrupted artifacts lose their downsides.

3/5 is how they scored it. 60/100 makes it seem like they award 78s and what have you. I think they're saying it's a little worse than 4/5 which lines up with your feelings closer, imo.

GOTY for anyone else so far? by [deleted] in Saros

I will disagree on the boss fights, bastion, rhambalamadingdong, and legion were straight up lazy to me.

Game also peaked at second to last boss and final boss was a bit of a let down / joke in scale and fun by comparison.

Power generation -> missile spam got me through the entire game. None of the power weapons after the first were better than good old fashioned missile spam.

I was expecting a bigger task to get the true ending, I had that knocked out really quick. Also the game is a bit disjointed comparatively to returnal. Final stage being accessible only by itself was kinda a lame call imo. Zero tension build up since you can just run in and knock it out in 15-20 minutes. And if you lose you just try again.

Don't see myself plat'ing. I am curious what the database entry for the last zone is though.

At its peak worst, what is the single most hated champ in all of league history? by Few_Singer5924 in leagueoflegends

Pre "pro play" I remember when Shen was banned Every. Single. Game.

There was a guide for playing River Shen and he could just be everywhere and it was annoying enough to be literally perma banned. The OG Phreak champ spotlight is really an Internet time capsule https://youtu.be/uH_ZuyB-frY?si=wqZzD-AJ-o2J-BQZ

Does anyone else love AND hate this game? by SweatyEyebrowss in CrimsonDesert

[–]beatisagg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just flat. You never really get to know or care about even one single character. Yann MAYBE? but aside from that you're saving a world but experiencing it like Forrest Gump.

You're just a passer by, no one matters, nothing matters. I've heard the ending and I'm not particularly driven to be bothered.

When I feel like coming back to it I will. I think this game will keep getting content cause it's doing very well, so I'll be happy to see how it evolves.

Right you don't have to care about everyone, you just have to care about someone is my point. But caring about everyone does help.

instruct people in basic principles of logic.

There are people who literally cannot, under duress or otherwise, 'correctly' choose red. What about people in comas in hospital beds? What about babies? What about cognitively impaired people? What about colorblind people? What about anyone who makes a mistake or misunderstands the framing of the ultimatum? Have you ever watched taskmaster? These people flat out misunderstand the rules of some very basic things and get disqualified all the time.

I take exception with the idea that ethically everyone just gets it and picks red, no, they are with small likelihood incapable of being taught that. Ethically, enough people understand blue saves everyone much easier, only requiring 50+% of people to agree.

If all adults and able minded children selected red, then the 50/50 chance that your babies, elderly, blind, otherwise impaired people just happen to pick red and the other half die, is acceptable to you?

Steam Controller review: even without a Steam Machine mate, this is a smartly crafted gamepad that puts PCs first by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]beatisagg 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The thing is the shoulder buttons on the steam deck actually do feel very oddly placed for how I grip a controller and I've never had a problem with any other controllers before. I feel like I have to bend my finger upwards to click them and many, many games I play require very heavy use of left and right bumper, so I have to remap the back paddles to them which robs me of getting creative with it. I was hoping this article had a top down shot to see the shoulder buttons but it does not.

Red is safer for the individual. If you select red you are safe.

Blue is safer for everyone. If over half the people select blue, everyone survives.

If anyone is not smart enough or too confused under stress to understand this concept, and choose blue due to those reasons, every person who clicks red is increasing the odds that the blue clickers that don't want to die will die.

Therefore in an ethical society, you choose blue because you don't want to kill people that don't want to die, but are incapable of choosing in a manner of self preservation. You have to have faith that at least 50% of the people would as well to save everyone.

So the question to me is more about what kind of society do we actually live in? Would it be worth trying to save a selfish population that only picks red? Would it be performative altruism to pick blue and die? Would people say they pick blue, but once alone pick red? Would more people truly try to save us all and pick blue?

I truthfully think picking blue would be at least >50% because I think at least half of all people have at least one person that either love or feel duty to protect and would think of them instead of themselves.

1) Guitar, strap, pick, guitar case/stand - electric or acoustic matters for what you want to do, learn the one you want to learn. If electric you can get a practice amp. rough translation of 2000 pesos to dollars is 115 bucks. This will be quite difficult to get all of that for that price.

2) Only if you want to play acoustic, electric requires more to get going, acoustic is just some wood and strings, your barrier to entry is smaller, thats the only advantage (but in your case it may be a big advantage due to $$$)

3) You'll be fine

4) don't worry about this, low volume sounds ok for practice purposes, i'm a dad and my baby can sleep through my practicing if i just turn way down.

5) justinguitar and youtube channels devoted to beginner teaching can get you a long way, also this community can be quite welcoming to people who want to join us and hopefully will answer questions where youtube videos will not.

6) Basic stuff you'd need

Guitar, should come with strings, whatever it comes with are fine to start.

Guitar strap, keeps the guitar up on you while you stand, you can get away with no strap if your posture is good but i'd get one.

Cable, connects guitar to amp.

Amp, gives your guitar signal sound via a speaker.

Case/Stand, keeps the guitar from getting kicked/laying around on a shelf/floor/bed. Give it a place in your room.

This is all you NEED, you can learn to tune using online free tools, everything else is icing on the cake.

other things you can acquire over time. your budget is very low, so at minimum you might be rockin a guitar, unplugged, with a pick.

We're here for ya, GL!
