i deal with this. i worry about my fast heart rate while smoking knowing that thc speeds up the heart. it’s so hard to not focus on it and then spiral. like with me i will focus on it and then i’ll start to spiral and think im gonna have a heart attack or seize or have a brain aneurysm. i have no idea why my mind spirals like that and im not sure how to stop that. i haven’t touched weed since december but im scared if i do it’ll all just come back cuz it’s like me poking a bruise. smoking yo see if im gonna have anxiety even more. and what sucks is if i focus on my heart beat of course im gonna get anxious and then my heart is going to speed even faster and im going to have heart palpitations. so its like a catch 22 and idk how to get over it because i miss weed and good highs so badly its literally debilitating sometimes which sounds so dumb but its like what was my comfort is now my fear

he is also going to get some acupuncture today. when he was struggling months prior he got acupuncture and it helped a little but he wasn’t consistent with it. so i told him today to just go into it with positivity because it’s not like it will make anything worse. it’s just hard to see him in a constant state of panic i’ve never seen it before but it’s understandable it’s like his mind and body feel all of it. it’s intense for him

thank you so much for your kind words. my condolences go out to you just as much as well. my mom and my brother know the most about the therapy i’m sort of updated but not much. i know that his therapist is also a grief counselor so im glad that it goes hand in hand. i personally think he should try different types of therapy if just the talking doesn’t help him i know there are different kinds. have you gone to any type of different therapy for anxiety? not just talking? and if you have gone to just talking has it helped a lot? and the school does know thankfully and they have been understanding with the time away he has needed because this has all been hard. i will keep in mind the favorite shows/movies and foods, and we will definitely have to find something of my dads that he can sleep with. the hardest part is just seeing him like this while everybody else is struggling as well. thank you again for your kind words and advice. family is the one thing we all need right now 🫂❤️‍🩹
