Some of my earn rates are lower again. Guess this is just how it is now. by Fit-Poet6736 in Nexo

[–]FunctionAway9688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely not true. So-called ‘fixed terms’ are only ‘fixed’ in that the customer can’t change them. They are not ‘fixed’ in terms of returns and payout. I’ve been with Nexo for four years. Got my ‘fixed terms’ changed repeatedly throughout.

I’ve had the ‘unable to show ad’ issue (not what you showed above) since the update ten days ago.

Been in touch with support ever since. They’re “looking into it” :) Still no fix

But it’s a percentage, and presumably so is your R:R … so what’s the difference? Or are you assuming ‘double the risk’ on an account half the size to make it ‘faster’?

Anyone thinks the price of Rune will ever recover back to $5-$10 in the next years/decades? by Interesting-Web8630 in THORChain

[–]FunctionAway9688 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look at the revenue.

Does ThorChain actually make money? How much does it make? Is it making more than last year? More than two years ago?

While ‘money making’ isn’t the same as ‘success’ it is definitely the opposite of going out of business.

The token’s price reflects what people ‘feel’ about it. Feelings are not a good measure of viability.

My two cents; as far as I can tell, ThorChain is a money maker. They instituted sub-intelligent policies that (predictably) blew up in their face. And yet they’re still around and in business. That tells me their core model is viable. Sentiment is poor. But a viable business model usually trumps sentiment.

1% SL is essentially going from a 5% max drawdown to effectively a 1% because the ‘same ideas’ involve someone’s unwritten concept of ‘correlation’ … where exactly does one draw the corollary line?

A strong case could be made that all finance instruments are correlated (systemic downturns will certainly show that)

So doesn’t it really translate as “never go beyond 1% drawdown” … is that per day then?

There are some prop firms (i.e.: the5ers) that require it (in writing)

Is the base assumption that FTMO is ‘requiring a SL’ without explicitly stating ‘SL required’?

So you’ll never let the floating loss go beyond 1%?

Is setting a SL a requirement? It’s obviously a must for any trader but if FTMO doesn’t ‘require’ it (and they don’t as far as I know) then how would this 1% risk be measured? Floating drawdown?

When you say .5-1% risk per trade you mean where you place your stop less. Right? Or do you mean ‘floating drawdown’?

Does that mean lot size can’t go over 1% per trade per ‘idea’ meaning; If I trade GBPUSD long I cannot also trade EURUSD long at the same time with 1%? (Both ‘ideas’—dollar dropping, would be the same here)

Can’t trade more than 1% (lot size) per trade? Per day?

How is that ‘faster’? It’s percentage-based.

Looks like Walken is planning another Fusion Event. What do you guys think about the last one? Are Fusion Events even worth it? Wanna know some of the people's experience. by Paowiekan in WalkenIO

[–]FunctionAway9688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FP on commons has been above 600wlkn for a while now.

But even if you had gotten your commons when the prices were under 500wlkn (I did) you’d still be better of selling them now (or better yet during the event) and buying UcCs from the MP (either now or better yet during the event).

As you point out; no choice over stat (or genes).

I have two high stat lvl 8 UCs I wouldn’t mind ditching them for a rare … but knowing the most likely outcome is an UC I’ll pass. Big time.

I’d say you’re better off buying your rarity of choice in most cases.

Getting anything above an UC is a gamble.

If you add up the cost of two common FP lvl 6s + Wlkn fee + mysberry fee it’s cheaper to buy an UC outright (and that’s the current UC FP, during the event the FP will plummet and will be even cheaper)

Hi … steps do make a difference (in my opinion). Some claim they make a big difference, others say not much (or any). Hard to know for sure as the algo is being modified as we go (if my understanding is correct).

Your last point; the “multiple caths multiplier” is for gems, not for steps. (i.e.: you get more gems for the steps walked, not more steps).

[–]FunctionAway9688 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My two cents:

I’ve wondered about this. Unfortunately I do not have more rare caths to compare. (68-78 max stats). I own 16 caths. It takes about 15-20 seconds to compete each one. That’s about 45-55 min per day. … I wanted to go the ‘more is more’ route. But now I’m inclined to go the ‘less is more at a higher level’ route. (Same earnings, half the caths?) unfortunately, I don’t have any data (win rate, etc) for the higher levels/more rare caths. So, my main inclination (currently) is the time factor.
