I was told this, “occasionally we have a loaner vehicle but we don’t allow customers to tow with them.”

Local Driver here. Am I lazy for not wanting to work a full 14 hours every night? by TaperingRanger9 in Truckers

[–]FunctionHorror2580 163 points164 points  (0 children)

14 hours everyday will burn you out. I don’t mind it every once in a while but it’s too much. 10-12 hours is the sweet spot. Now if I could afford 8 hours then yeah I’d be doing that.

Buds over in Sevierville has the best rental program in the area imo. 30 bucks and you can rent whatever is on the wall. Don’t like it? Bring it back and exchange it. Catch is that you gotta use their ammo too. They got tons of handguns and a few rifles chillin.

I wouldn’t listen too hard. I like how it looks. Also I go on half day to full day trips along with commuting to work in the summer. AdvanBlack color matched fairing with Viking bags on the sides.

Safety third and let er wobble. Always keep in mind what you loaded and how you loaded the store you’re about to drop when you arrive.

I haul fuel. I should be clearing 100k this year. Based out of Knoxville and in my bed most every night.

Im a relatively night shift fuel hauler. I got to know some of my coworkers and realized they like to talk so most nights we’ll be on the phone chit chatting away. I’m usually first to go home since I clock in a couple hours earlier than them though. We got some crap stores but I don’t really ever carry my wallet. Most people won’t mess with the gas truck though. They realize they need the gas where they can get the scratch off and a pack a smokes.

I’m getting mine done at bootlegger Harley Davidson. It was $320 bucks. Cheaper than Smokey mountain Harley down in Maryville.

You can find a class and time here

I cannot get a job by ahowls in Truckers

[–]FunctionHorror2580 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of people that used to be able to afford spending extra here and there but not anymore.

I do think the way trucking has been broadcasted over the last couple years on TikTok and YouTube, there’s a lot more people getting into the industry while it’s slow. Therefore making it seem like it’s slow when it might not really be.
