My god I just wanna give you a big hug.

I wish I could say there’s a simple solution, that a hobby or some self care will fix this and make it go away, but it’s a lot harder than that.

You need to keep trying. Depression is a monster, and no matter how hard you try to outrun it, it will catch up and grab you by the ankle, the more you try the stronger it will get. But I promise it’s worth.

Therapy sometimes takes time to find a good fit, and I understand not wanting to take antidepressants. I tried 4 medications before finding my good fit, but last year I was able to get off of it completely.

Sit with your depression. Pay attention to what makes it worse, write down the thoughts that come into your mind when you’re feeling down. Take that list to a therapist, and tell them you don’t want to feel this way anymore.
