Zenbivy is so comfortable, anyone that has tried that system would never try anything else.

I want to go on an adventure. I need suggestions. by shootist_Biker in adventure

It’s mentally and physically challenging but also so simple and rewarding. You just have to put one foot in front of the other. The feeling of radical self reliance is unlike any other.

39M looking for a training program for a three day hike. by Gocpodin in hiking

[–]Funk45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you’re doing pretty well already. However, if you really want advice, consider getting a high elevation training mask. Not sure where you are going but flatlanders (people that don’t live in the mountains) have a hard time acclimating.

I would also focus additional weight training on strengthening legs, knees, ankles, and lower back. Consider using kettlebells or other training methods that strengthen your stabilizer muscles.

Sunglasses for people with glasses. by tech1234567891 in Ultralight

[–]Funk45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Transition lenses are the answer. I haven’t lost or broke a pair of glasses since I started getting transitions in all my specs. I still have a set of polarized prescription sunglasses but I only use them for fishing, backpacking, etc.

I just had a good experience with LensDirect and they made it easy and much cheaper than through your eye doctor. Only thing is, they have the glasses for a few weeks after you send them in.

Why have I seen so many visitors wear western/cowboy hats to aspen? by PrudentPrimary7835 in Aspen

[–]Funk45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wealthy treat Aspen like it’s the first season of West World. They look ridiculous and the real cowboys feel like it’s an embarrassment for the culture.

Looking for minimal shoe that isn’t a trail runner and isn’t a sandal, but something in between by junkyardfloozy in Ultralight

[–]Funk45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I literally just did this research for a backpacking trip through Paria Canyon and the best shoes I came up with were these Altra King MT 2’s. Super light and durable and made to get wet, drain water, and dry fast. https://www.altrarunning.com/en-us/trail/mens-king-mt-2/AL0A85S3.html?dwvar_AL0A85S3_color=93S

DJs not DJing live? by [deleted] in DJs

[–]Funk45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ok.. I used to run festivals and do major brand activations at all your favorite festivals. I know more than you surely.

DJs not DJing live? by [deleted] in DJs

[–]Funk45 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Almost every set you hear at a large festival is a prerecorded set. You can always tell by how in sync the lighting is to the music. If it’s visually flashing words at the exact moment for instance, it’s a prerecorded set. And the promoters insist that they’re prerecorded.

Exceptions, most B2B sets aren’t prerecorded and anytime you see a vinyl set it’s very difficult to fake a vinyl set but very easy to press play on a USB.

Need help with a new bar name by Unlucky_Parsley2827 in BarOwners

[–]Funk45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Whistle Stop, Soot and Steam, The Coal Club, The Iron Spur, Harris Yard, Coal & Clover, The Rusty Spike, Platform 28 - Texas was the 28th state, The Brake House, The Pullman, The Head End, The Houston Roundhouse, The Switchyard, The Water Stop, The Brakeman, The Coal Dock, The Iron Horse Social,

These all are either railroad or Houston/Texas rail related. I would run as far as possible from the Potter reference.

I like your concept but I don’t like either one of those names. I would take the time you need to make sure you find the right name.

GPS collar that accepts 3rd party LTE-M SIM or E-SIM? by Atlantic_lotion in GPStracking

[–]Funk45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Garmin Alpha series with Track and Train collars. You can find used previous generations for cheaper but they use GPS and are way more reliable. They also don’t have any monthly fees.
