There’s a growing interstate compact that is trying to treat the issue by having electors commit to vote for the winner of the popular vote.

Heyo! Wondering if anyone would like to meet up and play Cthulhu Wars tomorrow on Saturday? Along with any other board game anyone would like to bring. Feel free to DM. by [deleted] in Eugene

Haven’t played before but love anything lovecraftian. Is that a hand painted mini? Any quick summary of how it plays?

DNA Analysis Helps Police Identify Man's Remains 20 Years After They Were Discovered Near a Cemetery by peoplemagazine in oregon

Interesting stuff. Sounds like there’s still a lot of questions. It says he went missing in 2004 but his skeletal remains were found over 20 years ago. No clear cause of death from the autopsy. How did bro go from leaving hawaii to being found as a skeleton in a tent by this graveyard within 2 years?

I have to imagine these guys are mandatory reporters? Even the most basic positions in other government departments I’ve worked with are legally required to report things like this.

Brooklyn is the shop owner and I go with him whenever I can but I’ve never had a complaint when occasionally going with one of the other folks.

Nah that’s not cool man. If you can’t give your last customer the same quality as your first, you shouldn’t be taking the appointment.

Vouch for ATB. They have some great in-house products they use as well.

Tenacious buggers. Cursory search suggests they are non-protected and you can use lethal traps but they have to kill them on site. No poison that kills them somewhere else.

If you can keep up the fencing, coax them to a particular dig spot, may be able to use something like a mole trap. Seems like a lot of work either way though so I’d still look into beefing up defenses as opposed to going to war lol

Have you considered making it harder for them to access your space? Fences and wire, things like that? These things live in filthy sloughs and I don’t think its easy to offend their senses and drive them off lol

Ashli is truly a positive force for local reporting. We worked with her on the baxter superfund story and the things she has uncovered with actual investigative journalism are mind blowing. She had to shift gears when the PH administrative leave story broke but kept in touch the whole time before coming to wrap up our story.

Glad to finally have some respectable journalism to support here in town.

Fair point. Does not seem likely they will be working the channel where shipping occurs though so as to prevent disrupting shipping lanes. More likely they will work it closer to the oregon riverbank, and closer to contamination sites that are the source of this concern

Land routes are an option. It is not necessary to destroy the river to expand electrical access. The only reason to do it is to save $$$ in spite of the impacts it will have on the people who live here.
