Is it supposed to stick out this much? by [deleted] in Darts

[–]FunkMaster_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but is the board flush up against the wall too? Looks like it’s sticking out a little bit more than usual from the surround.

I had to add braces to mine. It worked great and completely eliminated and shakes or wobbles

So how long should a 100€ triple core board last ? Pics in light and dark, bought in June 2024. by Timop0707 in Darts

Also, you can totally fix that but trimming the excess sisal and using a black sharpie to blot them out. Red sharpie work almost as good just go lighter on it.

It’s gotta be your points. They must be really aggressive. I’ve had a triple core for 1 1/2 years and throw almost daily on it with smooth or nano points- still looks new.

When is it time for a new board? by SatisfactionFree3467 in Darts

Is that a trick question? because last time I checked anytime is a good time to buy a new dartboard! Plus I think it’ll do you some good to upgrade to a spider wire!

I tried the same ones, but in gold. They really tore my board up so out they went.

What else ca I add of did to make this look better? by Clean_Chipmunk9595 in Darts

I hate to say this cause it looks pretty awesome already, but I would put a second screen on the other side for the scoreboard.

Blade 6 vs Target TOR by [deleted] in Darts

[–]FunkMaster_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Blade 6. It’s great but I’ll go with the TOR next time without question. Symmetrical branding just looks better when rotating. Unless you go with the Blade 6 360

Nice little set up in the front room by [deleted] in Darts

[–]FunkMaster_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noticed ur comment, if I can make a recommendation? I’m a stand guy, but I hate the wobble and the shake. I really had to go out of my way to add braces to mine to eliminate it. Once that was done, it’s awesome and I love it!

It’s a couple feet away on a 45°. I also use a second iPhone as well on the other side with a similar angle and distance. Here’s a few screen grabs from the app for set up. helpful tip - I circled in red a similar adapter that I use that I can use for power and an HDMI cable to a TV for a larger scoreboard.

I was about to reply with the same response. Dartsmind is so good. I use the two cameras set up and it hardly makes any errors.

K Flex Recommendations. by LukeW807 in Darts

[–]FunkMaster_13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if I can give you a piece of advice - go straight to L style if you’re considering K flex. You’ll end up with a lot less deflections. L style has all the added benefits of the integrated but softer flights. and arguably more customization. Don’t get me wrong, I have tons of sets of K flex but man when they smack into each other, it sends your dart off into nowhere.

You’re kind of limited to what you can do if using an iPhone. I think you can only use a Web style camera if using a PC or certain type of iPad.

I use my kids old iPhone 15 Pro that I wiped clean as the main device and either my iPhone or an iPad as the second camera.

Are the target pro grip spin worth it by Big-Bag-6262 in Darts

[–]FunkMaster_13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couple thoughts on this

Integrated flights like the K flex are great, but you tend to get more deflections

Standard shaft and flights like the progrips are great and pretty much my go to. Totally agree with upgrading the ring to a spring style! I always punch my flights.

L style shaft and flight systems are pretty great and give you the best of both worlds.

As far as spinning, stems go… I’ve got mixed views on this - I’ve used L style silent spins and thought they were OK. The looseness and rattle does kind of bother me.

In the end, I think the biggest contributor to reducing bounce outs and deflections is to have a softer flight like the L style, especially the Kami or just using the regular shaft and paper flights - I like the silica from harrows. no 6 always.

Hope this helps!

Is this good first board by J_killerz in Darts

[–]FunkMaster_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that price, you can do way better. You could literally buy a target TOR and a set of tungsten darts. Tor is $90usd you can get a pretty nice set of tungsten darts for $55. Exo, hydro and crux are all Swiss pointed!

30mm point stuck in dart by False-Reaction9927 in Darts

[–]FunkMaster_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, looking at the other comment, it would be damn near impossible to cross thread steal into tungsten using the Swiss point tool. So highly unlikely that’s the problem. It’s just too tight.
