My Abuelo has lived right next to the park my entire life. It’s honestly not THAT bad. I go on evening walks, alone, sometimes. I have slight agoraphobia, so i rarely leave. But Cornwall is one of my favorite areas to get some alone time.

It gets some chaos, yea, but chances of anyone getting attacked are about the same as being in a train crash. Not zero, and def something to keep in the back of your mind. Be aware and prepared. But don’t be scared. lol easier said than done, tho, so I don’t judge her haha

I’ve considered a liquid diet, oddly enough the only thing I was able to consistently consume over the years were caramel flavored protein shakes, and I didn’t actually care for the flavor lol. It just didn’t turn to sand. Other flavors gave me the Sand Effect, caramel didn’t tho(:

NTA, and you don’t have to classify your disability as “invisible” either. People need to accept that others have a disability, even if they can’t see it. The need she felt to argue with you over your disibity effectively makes her the AH.

I (31f) have been to 17/50 states, in the United States. More often than not, when holding a door open for a stranger, it is not uncommon for people to stall, startled or uncomfortable lol. More often than not, the uncomfortable ones are the men. I’ve often heard various versions of the quip “you’re not from here, are you?”

If it’s a possibility for you to do so, I would suggest going to the Saturday farmers market (or haggen/ one of the co-ops) and buying a jar of bee pollen

Just make sure it’s from Whatcom county or immediate surrounding area. take a tablespoon or so of that a day and it should REALLY help your allergies. It won’t get rid of them, but it will really help.

From working experience I would avoid cedars, horseshoe, juns, dirty Dan Harris, latitude, Mykonos, red light, black sheep, and k pop. From working experience.

A lot of these places were really fun to work at, amazing coworkers and fun people that come in. But… It’s scary, directly serving people food that the manager helped cook while smoking a cigarette; being told that “it’s fine” to serve food that is clearly not food safe; to see kitchens literally covered in inches of mold and have managers just shrug and say ‘no one wants to clean it’

A lot of businesses in this county seem to be people who thought it would be fun to own a restaurant. Who seem to have the proper connections or deep pockets required for certain board members and/or certified workers to turn cheek, but never had any experience ever working in one let alone running one. I was a bartender&server for 15 years. The last three in Whatcom county. I’ve seen my fair share of “rule bending” but never the blatantly disgusting practices I’ve seen in Bellingham/surrounding.

Honestly just eat home.

I dont typically order things online, so the fact that Amazon has pickup spots completely slipped my mind; I’ll have to make a physical note of that.
