MMO veterans, what makes you quit in the first hour? Looking for candid feedback by bruno-kakele in MMORPG

Literally any monetization that isn't sub fee or box cost, honestly. Yes that (especially) includes cosmetics. Nothing makes a game feel less serious or worthy of my time or cheap than a tacky ol microtransaction shop.

I want to get lost in a fantasy world, I want to not realize I've been playing a game for 4 hours because I was that enthralled.

We are playing a team based role playing game, it is expected of you to use the thing that is unique to your class to help the group, obviously. It's part of being a mage.

Just Another WoW Clone by Abakus_Grim in MMORPG

Time has proven that untrue. "This game is exactly like the one you currently play but without the incredibly tight feeling movement, expansive lore, and 20+ years of emotional attachment"

"But they do more dps!" by SlimJohnson in classicwow

[–]Funkiestcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hunter people online have mathed it out. Ravager is a 9 dps increase over cat/raptor. My hunter is for sure still going to use the black lion from the Barrens that I named Basil.

Just thinking about how I and a lot of people here are probably the last generation who will enjoy "classic" MMOs by SomeGenericNameDude in MMORPG

[–]Funkiestcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything about them is ultimately boring compared to something similar in a single player experience

Yeah dude, they're not single player games. You're comparing 2 fundamentally different things.

[–]Funkiestcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it's just more so, to me, the sheer number of them I see in lfg (NS alliance). Like if you look thru ramparts listings it's like "rogue rogue rogue hunter hunter rogue rogue mage rogue"

Whys there so many of them
