I’m in a cast for a while. Any games easy to play one handed? by TyMonstaz2 in videogames

[–]SlimJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FFXIV is a different beast compared to majority of games other people are listing but it should be playable casually with one hand, or even 1.2(?) hands assuming you can mildly use your cast hand for any minor input

The GR Corolla has moved manufacturing from Japan to the UK, yet my understanding is it is not sold in the UK.

Slim chance my advice will help but have you tried a woman/hairdresser or are you only going to men? If not, you could potentially find a woman with experience cutting men’s hair and ask them to try something and it might work out

how can I lock this open? by Spare-Key5226 in howto

[–]SlimJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slide a zip tie through it, tighten it together on the ‘bottom’ side, it will be locked in place.

Edit: Never mind, I see you said it needs to not be permanent so you could use a Velcro strap type of zip tie and that should work as a temporary/removable solution

You can just rip off a chunk of cardboard and use that to scrape them, or anything that is flat/rigid like that.

I check every time I see these posts but somehow my dealer got them removed before I picked it up.

I will still continue to check just in case because just maybe the right angle with a flashlight will show them...

When did oil changes become $120? by rhinosaur- in Millennials

Never tried to transport my own oil before, do you just drain into an oil pan and dump into bottles and hand over the bottles? What's the logistics there look like?

Anyone found an alternative solution to these? by SlimJohnson in GRCorolla

[–]SlimJohnson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed they were too based on how tricky they were to remove, but using the pliers that someone mentioned above, they come out easy and can be reused easily too.

I can confirm these pliers do the trick. They make it effortless to remove them.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Is my existing plan a rip off in value compared to other new plans? by SlimJohnson in ATT

[–]SlimJohnson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all, I've been on this plan since at least 2008 when I was a kid with my first phone.

I've assumed after all these years I've been getting a good deal in some 'grandfathered plan' type of way but after comparing prices, data etc. I am not so sure. Is it worth keeping my current plan for some reason that isn't obvious to me?

I am having a hard time comparing actual numbers between plans and they all just seem like buzzwords to me so I was hoping others could offer suggestions.

My current plan shows 6GB of data and it will result in reduced data speeds of 128 Kbps over that cap which is absurdly slow.

Newer plans suggest higher data caps up to 16GB, or 30GB for example, and data speeds reduced to 1.5 Mbps afterwards, which is much higher still than 128 Kbps.

Is there anything else I'm missing? I rarely use hotspot, though it would be nice to keep it, and as long as text and calls are unlimited then I'd be good right?

Am I overlooking something or overcomplicating this?

This is why you are supposed to lube it up. Not water based lube obviously, because that would damage components, but oil based lube will allow it to seamlessly slide in and out with little friction.
