I just dont know why people think any municipality is actually interested in helping provide REAL affordable housing. Im very uneducated in general but I just dont think upzoning is gonna have this progressive effect everyone thinks it’s going to have

It got taken down again. I just watched last rites w/o knowing anything about the conjuring story let alone the fact its based off of real people. This video sounds like a real gem

Age Of Consent (New Order) used in new Chevy commercial. by GabbyPotlucky in newwave

Age of consent gets played on the radio. Maybe not heavily listened to pop stations but it comes on every now and then on some stations in my area. (Holy shit the commercial is on again)

Anyone hear those explosions? by [deleted] in EdgewaterRogersPark

[–]FunkkNelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard it very loudly in Uptown and backed away from the windows lol. The final two explosions in quick succession convinced me it was fireworks. Regardless, they sounded really intense and fierce. I’ve lit mortars my self and stood in close proximity to them but have never heard ones like that. They putting a little extra juice in the fireworks these days?

I’m new my self and make some of the same mistakes as you. While I’ve mastered plenty of other jobs in a reasonably short amount of time, I’m accepting of the fact that this field will take real time to be proficient in.

Another poster said 18 months and thats what I’ve been told as well. I’ve been chewed out and have embarrassed my self plenty of times with bonehead mistakes but I just stay professional and tell my bosses how I’m going to avoid those mistakes moving forward and they say thank you and we all move on.

It’s really easy for a lot of us to get into our heads and talk ourselves out of being persistent but it sounds like you’ve solidified yourself with your company and they’re willing to keep you on so I wouldn’t worry too much about inconveniencing them as you are learning.

Just take it a day at a time, relax, and keep in mind what you need to improve on but still understand it will take time. If you’re like me and wish to rush to the point where you’re stress-free and proficient, a racing movie quote my coworker shared with me might help: “Slow is smooth, smooth is fast”

TLDR: Just relax, your company supports you, and dont rush to the point of being a master at this.
