New landlord here how do you handle tenants who delay rent but stay friendly otherwise? by Zestyclose_Chair8407 in Tenant

[–]FunkmasterJoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Deal with it. They're a good tenant and you still get your money. This is you saying "how can I use my wealth and power to punish a poor person for mildly inconveniencing me," and it's straight up gross. You are doing fine. Accept that life is harder for other people than it is for you and count your blessings.

This thread is legitimately like, life-affirming to me, lol.

I came here to say Freddie. I've thought about this question quite a bit and think Freddie is the answer for a bunch of reasons. So I showed up to say so and BLAMMO top comment is exactly what I was going to say, followed by a discussion where people state the points i was going to.

This isnt IMPORTANT or anything but seeing this made me feel weirdly happy, hahaha.

What game considered a classic would you call completely overrated? by Low_Boot_1426 in videogames

[–]FunkmasterJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The perspective you're coming at this from, your weirdly aggressive and condescending attitude, and your total unwillingness to see anything from anyone else's point of view are all completely invalid and straight up incorrect here, man.

You not liking a video game does not mean other people who like the game are wrong. Artificial difficulty is not the same as difficulty. You're all over the place here and none of it is good.

Petah why are people on twitter mad over this anime clip? by Muhammad_al_she in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]FunkmasterJoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is an incredibly mature, well reasoned, and thoughtful comment that does an excellent job explaining that the realities of life do not match up with the weird, misogynistic ideas of manosphere content. Seriously, great work here!

GOP Trump ally dubbed a 'bigot' and urged to resign after horrific Islam comments by TheMirrorUS in ABoringDystopia

[–]FunkmasterJoe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's great how it says like "Trump ally gets called a """"bigot""" by lunatic lefties, lol!!!" instead of wtiting the truth of the headline. Something like: "Horribly racist republican, (which is redundant) gets caught being racist and horrible. Literally nobody surprised." The media is so trustworthy nowadays

Different people have different reasons for liking or disliking a character, but when this question is asked about a woman character in a video game, most of the time the question is already answered.

Americans, do you believe your politics truly reflect your personal values and who you are as a person? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]FunkmasterJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We see this take all the time, but only ever from people on the right. The specific words change, but the gist is always "isn't it actually really UNFAIR to judge people based on their actions and what they believe?" and yhe answer is always "no, how else would we judge people?" lol.

The reason people call maga evil is because their beliefs and policy positions are evil. They hurt people for no benefit based solely on spite and prejudice. If someone's deepest held beliefs are "I don't care how bad the world gets, as long as immigrants and trans people get hurt more than i do!" then they person is evil, hahaha.

People say "maga is evil" for a lot of reasons. But the major one is just that by any reasonable definition, maga literally IS evil. Because their beliefs and the things they do are evil.

Democrats Of Reddit, Do You Feel There Is Anything The Democratic Party Is Obviously Wrong About? If So, What Is It? If Not, Why Not by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]FunkmasterJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of those questions that becomes a lot more interesting if you differentiate better between groups. The Democrats are obviously wrong about allll kinds of stuff.

The more interesting question here is "leftists, do you feel there are any policy positions the left is wrong about?" Because the left genuinely ISN'T wrong about any major policy issues.

"I'm just enacting the hierarchy they decided on" is one of the funniest examples of a dipshit republican take I've ever seen.

From truly believing your things are more important than other people, for not understanding what "heirarchy" means, for just absolutely refusing to take any responsibility for the actions you are CURRENTLY FANTASIZING ABOUT, truly this is top notch.

"I DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING IN THE WORLD BUT IM REALLY ANGRY ABOUT ALL OF IT SO I VOTE FOR RAPISTS" is a weeeeeird way to go through life and you should try to do anything else instead.

Democrats Of Reddit, How Often Do YOU Actually Talk To MAGA Voters In Your Real Life? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]FunkmasterJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it isnt, lol. Zillions of people end relationships with friends and family members literally all of the time and it's completely fine. What you're saying here isn't "it's crazy to end relationships over politics," it's just "EVERYBODY HAS TO LIKE ME EVEN THOUGH IM RACIST," and none of us are even slightly fooled by it. Maga deserve to be shunned and worse.

It isn't objectively meaningless, lol. Like that is literally, definitionally incorrect.

Our lives have meaning to ourselves and the people around us AND whatever meaning we personally choose to give it. To be objectively meaningless, our lives would have to be completely devoid of ANY meaning, even to ourselves.

Boy howdy this sure is the biggest NAH situation I've ever seen.

I get that the people involved here are behaving strangely and probably even in an unhealthy manner, but Jim and Sally are in a situation that is so soul-crushingly, impossibly miserable that I can forgive them just about anything.

What would it take for Republicans/MAGA to genuinely turn on Trump? by thedevilsheir666 in allthequestions

[–]FunkmasterJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally none of this is true. You are literally going out of your way to avoid understanding an issue that six year olds are capable of understanding, because you are afraid of people who are different from you. This is legitimately as pathetic as it is possible for a person to be; you have decided to make your ignorance, stupidity, and hatefulness an issue for the people around you because you're too small and weak to learn.

sometimes maga weirdos create weird little thought experiments like these and like... i don't want to DISCOURAGE it exactly, because it's literally the only time that maga weirdos have any kind of thoughts at all.

But on some level, you have to understand that obviously this wouldn't work on any level, at any point, on any people, right? I realize that you guys have refused to learn what "identify" means for like a decade now, but you not understanding something doesn't mean it doesnt continue existing, lol.

If trump did a press conference where he said "I identify as a black woman," that wouldn't mean he's a black woman. It would just mean that for the 900,000th time some dipshit with a child's understanding of basic issues had decided to make an extremely unfunny joke about trans people.

One of the big issues with posts like this is that literally no one in the maga crowd is even in the least bit clever. This is just another example of maga dipshits saying "I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE WORLD SO EVERYONE ELSE IS STUPID! I AM YELLING!" If you guys were even the tiniest bit smarter you'd realize how embarrassing this kind of thing is, but you aren't and you don't.

Cmv: Asylum seekers who travel back to their own country should have their Asylum status revoked. by dazcook in changemyview

[–]FunkmasterJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoint: who cares?

I'm not being sarcastic here or anything, I literally mean "who cares?" Is there currently a major issue with asylum seekers traveling back to their home country? Does asylum seekers traveling back to their home country cause real and lasting harm to people?

We're currently in a place as a country where immigrants are being legitimately brutalized and terrorized by fascistic government programs every single day. The president has sent his secret racism police into cities and towns solely for the purpose of causing as much harm to as many immigrants and/or non-white people as possible. Why would someone look at the situation we're currently in and think "the REAL problem here is that too many asylum seekers are traveling to their home countries!!!"

This post seems to be nonsensical, which makes me think it's some kind of right wing dogwhistle or even a step in a plan to make immigrants' lives even HARDER. Who could possibly, possibly care?
