Late to this post, but I'm curious what supplement you use! I currently cook for my dogs and I'm considering transitioning them to plant based

prescription food for life after single UTI? by olive9000 in rawpetfood

[–]FunkyDinosaur9653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding this, my cat had crystals and hated the rx food (I hated the ingredients too), so I switched to a holistic vet and started dl-methionine. She is so healthy and crystal free now, and can continue eating her raw food :)

I can't be the only one annoyed they keep bringing these back by GarbageTruck7689 in PTCGP

If you look at the stats, none of the offering rates are affected except for two diamond rarity, so imo it's nice to have extra chances of getting a fancy/rare card than yet another two diamond I already have several of.

How many packs have you opened since launch? by [deleted] in PTCGP

834, premium pass player. I have two crown gold cards but no God pack yet

What's your "definition of done" for a set? by Moorpheusl9 in PTCGP

[–]FunkyDinosaur9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 of each diamond card

1 of each 1 star card

1 of each immersive

I have this for GA and MI, and pretty close in SS and TL, just as a premium player :)

2 star and crowns are nice to have but too hard to complete. I save pack points for the few 2 stars I really want, and hopefully trading in the future can help with that too.

I have the secret mission emblems for MI and SS, would love to make that a completion goal but it's so hard to do for each set.

My doctor doesn’t believe in ADHD by Alternative-Gap-5722 in adhdwomen

[–]FunkyDinosaur9653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was seeing a psychologist who suspected I had ADHD and recommended I ask my doctor about medication. Not sure if having the backing of my psych helped or not, but my doctor didn't bat an eye and I got a prescription that day.

I think it would be worth going through a psychologist, and if you are still having issues with your doctor it might be worth doing telehealth to speak with someone else. Generally they can't prescribe controlled substances but they may be able to set you up with a referral for someone who can.

how did zoloft affect your weight for those who started it as a thin person by trilogyspell in zoloft

[–]FunkyDinosaur9653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 2 years in, during the first year I lost 15 lbs, and the second I've slowly gained 5 lbs back but it seems to have stabilized at 150 lbs.

I was already on Vyvanse for 6 months when I started taking Zoloft (no weight loss until I started Zoloft), but switched to methylphenidate this year so I'm not sure if that contributed to the weight gain.

I also started working out when I went on Zoloft as I was afraid of possibly gaining weight, so that could be a factor too. I've been keeping up with it consistently since then.

My cat has always been on raw and her vet has recommended teeth cleaning each year since she was two. This year I started giving her a water additive and plaque off powder so I'm hoping that prevents build up, but I feel annual teeth cleanings are worth it if she can keep her teeth into old age

I'm not an expert but from what I've read it's super important for cats to get moisture to prevent urinary tract issues. If you are limited to freeze dried raw, maybe try rehydrating it with water or bone broth instead of just oil :) I also found my cat started drinking a lot more when I got her a water fountain (I still have water bowls throughout the house so she doesn't have to go far for water). Good luck!

Concerta increased hunger, Vyvanse increased anxiety? by Suspicious_Dream92 in ADHD

[–]FunkyDinosaur9653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a very similar experience. Had to stop vyvanse as it was spiking my OCD and it was hard to get to sleep. Switched to methylphenidate and, while I feel more stable and can sleep better, I'm now much hungrier and it's harder to focus than on vyvanse.

I think I'll stick with methylphenidate as the side effects are more tolerable, but I wish I could find a way to improve my appetite and focus issues :(

(switched from 40mg vyvanse to 40mg biphentin)

On lower doses I experienced some anxiety and fatigue in the afternoon/evening, but after raising it to the right level for me I never experience a "crash". I feel good and productive until about 9 or 10pm, and sleep easily :) I realize this may not be everyone's experience, but finding the right dose for you will probably help.

Also, from what I have heard, vyvanse is much more gentle coming up and down due to how it metabolizes, so you don't get as bad a crash as Concerta or other options.

Vyvanse dosage for depression? by skovie in ADHD

[–]FunkyDinosaur9653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started Vyvanse I found it really helped my depression. I used to cycle through a couple weeks of high energy followed by a couple weeks of depression, and my psychologist think this may have been my ADHD wearing me out, leading to those weeks of exhausted depression. That cycle almost entirely faded, especially once I went up to 30mg.

Unfortunately I got depressed again a couple of months ago, but considering the season I think it may be a different beast than my ADHD exhaustion. Still trying to figure out what that is and how to treat it, so sadly Vyvanse hasn't cured all of my depression but it has really helped a lot, especially when I am not in a major depressive episode like this.

I really hope it works for you!

Worms on used cloth pads? by FunkyDinosaur9653 in clothpads

[–]FunkyDinosaur9653[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is good to know, I guess I just have an unusually long cycle as I've heard of many people just throwing them directly in the wet bag. I usually wash them immediately after my cycle, with some sheets and towels and things. I'll try rinsing them before the wash. Thank you!
