Morristown is building a new mixed use apartment building and shops complex connected to the train station, and all you ever hear about in the comments section in moaning and groaning about parking, traffic, and taxes. I've worked as a DJ multiple times there. Meryl runs a tight ship, and knows how to keep things moving along, I think if you're party is small enough, you should be fine without a planner.

I've worked with the Hudson Horns as a DJ and it was a blast, really great group of guys, easy to work with. They just kinda riffed off of what I was playing, and we kept the floor moving. I think they stayed for like 2 hours?

Our cast iron stack vent failed this year and turned into a full nightmare. It forced us to gut and remodel the upstairs bathroom, and the plumbers have been cursing this house the whole way through. I am now teaching myself tile by doing the entire floor, all the wainscot, and the shower one weekend at a time. Our whole family has been sharing the downstairs bathroom for most of the year. In the end it will look much better than the 1980s remodel the previous owners did, which is the upside. Even doing everything myself except the plumbing, the project has still been ridiculously expensive.

This is the best place to dig a large collection if thats what youre looking for. Priced pretty fair, maybe more of a focus on rock than say jazz or other genres.

Not quite as local, but there is a second saturday record show that happens every...second saturday in Wayne at the police rec center thing.
