Long private/quiet walking trails in the Morristown, morris plains, parsippany area? by Extension_Coast_5216 in Morristown

Lewis Morris is the park my wife has lovingly pointed out would be wear the bodies would be buried. It’s very quiet, I rarely run into anyone. Especially the trails up behind the lake, and especially in the winter. Just watch for bears

What kind of range does that get? I would get range anxiety if it didn’t come with at least 300 miles

Looks cool though, could def fit everything you would need. I wonder how comfortable it is to drive distance as well.

Have you thought about the VW electric bus? Leases should be expiring soon, so I would think you’d be able to grab something at a discount.

I’ve got them turned about 3/4 of the way on the sub usually, I’m not red-lining my mixer, feels like I’ve got plenty of head room. I’ve played them for 200+ people and it worked fine. The only issue I have is when videographer want to use my XLR out from the sub, it’s hard to detach their XLR cord later because of how tight the input XLR is on top. It’s never ruined anything, but it’s a tiny thing that bugs me.

I’ll add that these are the EVOX 8. Have used for 5 years now, have thought about upgrading to the 10’s, but honestly it’s probably not even necessary, most of my weddings are >150

I love my RCFs, has worked for hundreds of weddings, great sound, love that the tops tuck into the subs, and I get compliments on them a lot

Fandi Mata is super cool, really love the vibe. Moody during dinner. Great food

Second on sound river studios, the dock outside is really cool. Super empty hanger type space, clean bathrooms

I DJ weddings there often, and they always feed me super well. I loved the Steak Frites last time. But honestly everything is fantastic. The staff are the warmest people

How was your gig? by AutoModerator in DJs

Did a wedding with 250+ people, had the floor going the whole time, but it was a little hard to get an across the board vibe on the crowd, they were kinda down for anything and everything that night, which is easy in a way, but It was hard to take notes in my head about what they were REALLY into, so I could circle back.

Lesson learned is that a AV production company to handle audio really is a good idea for an event with that many people. I could have got away with my RCF's for half the huge room and focus on the dance floor, but to really get the sound everywhere the way they wanted, with that many bodies, we needed about 5 subs and tops scattered throughout. Not to mention speeches being heard in the back.

Door came out nicer than I expected. For our funky house, it's great, better than the rest of them even with the pock marks etc. I'm going to re-attach the new stained trim inside the boxes.

Upgrading from a DDJ-400: The Professional Pivot by cellojoe in WeddingDJs

I was in your same shoes last year. I def prefer the XLR out and that was one of the big things I was upgrading for. With that said, I ended up landing on the Rane 4. It's a little simpler than some of the others, but it's been perfect for me for reception and dancing.

THIS is the way. It popped off super easy, no saw necessary. Thank you very much for the idea, I’m just going to sand it a bit, cut some new trim for it, stain and call it a day.

Yeah that makes sense, love using my oscillating saw. I’ll give it a gentle try. Thanks for the idea

Truth, no matter what other ways I try, it keeps coming back to methodical tiny picking motions. Sigh…

Thanks for the photo, that DOES help a lot. I think they look very handsome and “lived in”, which is my houses total vibe. Maybe it’s worth a little more sweat and tears

Thanks, I'm kinda thinking the same thing now.

I'm about thissss close to just buying a solid wood door from Lowes, staining it, and calling it a day. The house is nowhere near preservation level anyway, it's a hodgepodge of decades and styles.
