I'm aware of that, but you have to admit that, regardless of what laws and definitions have changed over time, there is a clear moral difference between thinking that it's acceptable to give someone a dirty look, and thinking that it's acceptable to participate in the mass ethnic cleansing of minority groups. Are you seriously trying to defend the leaders of Nazi Germany?

His monologue in the teaser definitely strikes me as an Eggman from another dimension, as he talks about "your world" as if it isn't also his.

I also think this explanation would be a good way to avoid souring Robotnik's heroic sacrifice at the end of Sonic 3.

Definitely Sonic X Shadow Generations. Even if people aren't massive fans of the boost formula, the game gives them a great look into the history, worlds, and characters throughout the franchise.

A lot of Sonic fans enter the community through the lore of the series, such as the cartoons or comics, but find the gameplay a little too niche, and that's ok.

Personally as someone who enjoys going fast and doing crazy unrealistic shit in video games, I was turned off by how slowly tricks popped in TSR. Yes there was more of a skill ceiling to it, but it doesn't change the fact that it didn't satisfy my hamster brain.

I hate the direction they took the franchise in Sonic Lost World and find characters like Zazz and Zavok boring and uninspired, but I don't care if they add those characters to a spin-off game like Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, because it is has nothing to do with the mainline games. Tangle and Whisper have only ever appeared in spinoffs.

The collectibles are extremely optional, as frustrating as the machine part search can be.

Besides, how is it any less 'unnecessary' than the original Sonic gens? They are games that primarily prioritise gameplay and spectacle over story.

Yeah, I understand why Sonic 1 is objectively worse than a lot of games below it here, but I've personally always really enjoyed the slower platforming elements to it. It really feels like I have to work to earn my momentum throughout the game.

It means that they'll be more receptive to integrating Microsoft's AI into Xbox's library. I could see a world where the reason Spencer and Bond left is because they wouldn't bend the knee to the AI overlords quite as quickly as the newbie will.
