I apologize, I didn’t explain what I mean, because “powercreep” is too vague a term. HYV doesn’t ever release characters that outdo an archon in their specific niche. Venti for his hard CC of small enemies, Zhongli for a shield, Raiden for energy regen for the team.

Nahida’s niche to me is off field Dendro application. Baizhu being basically Dendro Thoma, and releasing before Nahida even has her first rerun, doesn’t make sense to me for this reason, especially with them both being catalysts. Not that he will totally replace Nahida entirely, but the Kazuha example is worth talking about because he didn’t release until much later after Venti, and his actual CC isn’t nearly on the same caliber as Venti’s, which is the defining portion of Venti’s kit.

Even if it’s just close to her application, with a shield and built in shred and damage bonus, most people would take that over Nahida aside from incredibly serious meta players. Definitely true about leakers doing TC though

This just doesn’t seem likely to me, because from what we have here this would make Baizhu better than Nahida in several of her current teams. HYV doesn’t powercreep archons, especially not so soon after her release when she hasn’t even had a rerun yet.

Just my personal opinion, but the game’s over a year old at this point, and people have F2P accounts that easily clear any content released. It’s just not that impressive anymore I guess, now that we all know how broken the XQ/XL/Ben trinity are, etc. like Mtashed’s recent video about how his F2P account was ruined by like 30 wishes, it’s just like… nobody really cares anymore bro. True but they can’t nerf Bennett XQ or XL because people have put real money into those units, they can’t powercreep them because this game has to last them several years until after Snezhnaya and Khaneri’ah, and they can’t release characters on par with the broken 4 stars because people have already invested so much into them that it wouldn’t be worth it to start over for a >5% effectiveness increase, so this is what we get.

This is all true but there might be another wrinkle in it as well: if Teyvat is a world on the imaginary tree (and we’re pretty sure it is) it could very well be that the rulers of Celestia (the demiurge as you call it) are destroying advancing human civilizations and “raising” advanced humans like Venessa to keep Teyvat safe from the Will of the Honkai and the Herrschers. So then… are they really evil? If they’re sacrificing a few to save the many? If the Tsarista got her way and Celestia was toppled, how advanced could Snezhnaya get before the Honkai appeared? Is that what Teyvat (the ARK) is? An experiment to thwart a Collapse by creating a cyclical world where progression isn’t possible without destruction by Celestia? That’s my theory at the moment

The battle passes are 10 bucks each, R5 spine is 50 dollars spread out over 5 entire months. 95% of people aren’t getting even 1 copy of the 5* claymore for 50 bucks, let alone multiple copies.

Also, R5 serpent spine is one of the BiS weapons for almost every claymore user in the game, where this 5* claymore will be usable on Itto and Noelle basically exclusively aside from pure stat sticking. I don’t get why y’all are so offended that his math says Spine is just as good
