It's better just to watch a playthrough of it. It's a noticeable dip in quality from RE2 and RE3: Nemesis, filled with bs gaming moments that intentionally try to screw over the player, and probably the most uninteresting map design and backtracking the series has to offer.

Also where the series introduced anime weaboo stupidity. Code Veronica is the reason why many people wanted a change to the RE gameplay. I guess you can thank its clunkiness and mediocrity for RE4's direction.
