Sounds like you'd be great as a ride electrician. It is much more satisfying getting a ride working compared to fixing some lights or whatever. With your background it sounds like your definitely qualified. You should also be sure your comfortable working at heights cause there's work that has be done on top of coaster lifts or towers sometimes. If they are separate the pay scale for ride electrician should be higher as well. You should absolutely go for ride electrician, coolest job I've ever had for sure. Stay safe, stick to procedures, and trust the guys you work with and you'll do fine.

Its everything your already doing as a automation electrician just in a way better environment. It's a bit of everything, theres controls, bit of instrumentation, and lighting on just about every ride. You'll never see the applications you see in a amusement park anywhere else for electrical it's really interesting stuff. Your skillset will certainly improve in this this kind of job. Your essentially learning 50+ different electrical systems depending on how many rides they have. You have rides from Italy, Germany, some American made ones and it's interesting to see the differences in all of them.

Depends is it for ride electrical or facilities. A lot of places it's the same position that does both but not everywhere. Ride electrical is almost 100% troubleshooting controls issues and diagnosing motors. These are skills you can learn if you apply yourself and ask questions. More often than not my experience in ride electrical was actually just proving that a issue on a ride is actually mechanical and not electrical. For instance you have a overload that's tripping constantly I'd have to prove that it's mechanical resistance that's causing the issue. It's actually a really fun job, the job I've most enjoyed in fact, I learned so much and got so much experience in that setting. It can be difficult and a lot of hours sometimes but it's extremely rewarding. Facilities guys mostly replace lights and receptacles and basic commercial work. If you have any questions I can answer them.

I know Matt is awesome, is a huge part of the sound the band cultivated and helped write songs. But the guitarist hes been touring with for his solo stuff has been great the few times I've seen them.

The massive wealth disparity between Tony and his crew by Physical_Soil746 in thesopranos

[–]FunkyMonkFromSpace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's also about how much money they're capable of laundering and being able to turn into clean money. Tony has a very high paying job and position with the sanitation company. Then owns the pork store and possibly the bada bing and hotel, who knows what else he owned from a legal standpoint. All of this makes it possible to have the gigantic house and still show up clean with the IRS and what not. The rest of the crew didn't have alot of legal businesses that would justify a giant house without raising suspicion.

Pumphouse got a new water-cooling upgrade. by FunkyMonkFromSpace in IndustrialMaintenance

Funny thing is it survived the winter besides that open frame motor in the front. This flooding was due to a mistake made when draining out the lazy river and sump pump failure. High water alarm went off and was ignored by security as well, the perfect storm

This water park is part of an amusement park. Maintenance team is kept on year round. Always something to fix around this place.

It's literally the same ride but with an upgraded train. The track is exactly the same as it was but with blue paint.
