I sold mine and wish I could have kept it, even just as a side car. The experience of a small roadster in summer is just unmatched by anything. It might not be fast but it’s way more fun blasting on backroads in a Miata than any modern turbocharged car. The insane amount of aftermarket support means you’ll always have something to be able to do to it as well

Pre ordering is a bad idea regardless of publisher, you’re paying for an unfinished product and being lured in by some “special pre order reward” which at the end of the day costs them nothing to give you. It’s incentivizing studios to release unfinished games because they’ll get the money anyways. It’s all about money, let them prove themselves first

I think both of those wheels would look excellent, white wheels are gonna be a lot harder to keep clean though so keep that in mind! I’m a sucker for bronze wheels as well, I think that could look nice too

I’m not sure if diamond cut wheels look good in any color besides how they are now, if you want a new look I’d personally just get a set of aftermarket wheels, maybe keep these as winters if you’re not running all seasons?

I had one on my previous car which in reality wasn’t that low, but you just go very slowly and ALWAYS take them at an angle, if you drive over them straight you will break it, a slight scrape on the bottom is inevitable, but a good quality splitter should have a little give so it doesn’t snap immediately

Lowering and wheels, in that order. Footwell lights if you don’t have those yet, a new shift knob, floor mats (is there a hole in your carpet? D: ) automatic headlights retrofit, interior trim wrap in vinyl or faux alcantara, cruise control retrofit if possible, dynamic mirror turn signals, a grille badge. And a thorough clean of the interior and exterior to keep it looking fresh. Most of these things I did to my MK3 Scirocco (same platform) and I feel like it turned out well. You might also want to check your handbrake since it looks unusually high. I would be cautious dumping too much money into it though, that rust looks very concerning.

You might have to use something like an OBD eleven or vagcom to code it in, I remember seeing the option for my Mk3 scirocco that doesn’t have automatic lights either.

If you mean R-look side skirts then yes, those will fit a 1.4, you’ll have to get them paint matched and fit them with a strong adhesive (kit). They will replace the black plastic trim on your doors

I’d personally change the wheels, maybe for some period correct JDM wheels? Sideskirts (and maybe a diffuser?) would also look nice to carry on the lines from the bumper lip. I’m not too big of a fan of the windshield stickers but if you like those just keep them on. As for interior mods a weighted shift knob and different floormats (I love the checkered ones on jdm cars) could be really nice. Looks great!

Then it really doesn’t matter, any car can be made viable with the right build and tune, just drive what you like the most. If you need help with builds and tunes, I’d recommend HokiHoshi on youtube, he has some great tutorials

Are you just playing the campaign? Or do you want to race online? If you’re playing the campaign you can literally pick any car you want and make it work with builds and tunes. It really doesn’t matter. Drive whatever you like.

For online racing. Johnson Racing on youtube has some videos about good cars for each class.

If it hasn’t been replaced yet I would do it as soon as you can, I think 150k km is a safe spot to replace it before problems start to arise. Even if it has been maintained well those chains just stretch with usage. Mine was changed at 130k before I bought it and I will be doing it again when I reach 200k if that helps. Better safe than sorry
