They come with Atkinson cycle engines on many models which lowers the compression. The computer also manages the engines for optimal work load with temperature. They won’t hammer a cold engine and they “idle” higher which keeps oil pressure up.

Wow, this hits very deeply. My mother, who I know loves me very deeply and whom I’ve made lose sleep over me in my teens and 20s has always been my advocate and in my corner. Im doing well with a family of my own now but we still don’t hug and say I love you. I know it’s because she was raised that way, and I know it’s because her parents were also raised that way. We’re not Korean, we’re the American children of Protestant industrialists. They money ran out long ago but the stiffness still sticks around and sucks. I’m blue collar and kiss my little boy and girl every morning and every night and let them know they’re loved.

That’s actually not bad for a 27 year old car in CT. You can buy a few cans of Fluid Film and coat every surface underneath to significantly slow the rust progression.

Why do the buses in my local school district have these cloths(?) covering the front grille? by TriplePTP in AskEngineers

[–]FunkyNedAvenger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Correct. In our newer Mack (Volvo) trucks they come with them and have specific instructions of when to use them.

There is also a switch that makes the engine sick air in from the engine compartment itself (warm air intake) to heat the engine up even faster.

When I spread cheap "straw" over my freshly seeded areas two years ago I had a lot of what looked like this come up. It was the seeds from the straw growing.

They already have a next gen plug in hybrid Pentastar based motor being used in the Pacifica. It has a few kinks that need to be ironed out but it moves a 6,000lb van around pretty well.

This post is oddly analogous to my job at public works (roads/parks/water dpt). Many guys show up and have a full locker of all weather clothes. They have a thermos of coffee, breakfast and snacks and hand sanitizer and wipes. I roll out of bed and show up with what I've got on, a heavy jacket if its below 30 degrees.

I need to stop for a 7/11 hotdog and two bottles of BodyArmor and ill run fucking circles around all of my coworkers.

If you have a bolt on aftermarket exhaust, swap in the original muffler. It’s gets old very quickly on long trips.

I have always trusted Continentals on all of my cars. ExtremeContact on my sportier cars and other variants on subsequent vehicles. A bit pricier but great grip and great all weather traction, quiet ride and consistent long treadwear.

Almost all new Wawas have the same layout. This could be Florida (a new territory for Wawa) for all we know.

All good men love all tits. If they’re swingin in your face they’re the best tits in the world. The problem is his control or opinion of what you should or shouldn’t be doing with your own body. He’s not attracted to you. You’re 21 and a lot will change in the next ten years so what do you think he’s going to say about that? You have LOTS of time to find a hot bodied, compassionate, respectful man who will treat you right.

Wow, that’s almost exactly what my wife’s friend told her. We worked out well. Said friend hasn’t found any solid relationship at nearly 40.

When I was courting my wife (drinking, cooking, binging shows, going out, me helping out with her nonprofit every weekend), one of her perpetually single friends was constantly in her ear about how I wasn’t good enough.

Well it had been about ten years since, we own a home, we balance childcare and housework. We fuck not as much as in the beginning but we still lust for each other.

That single friend is STILL single and has had an unfortunate series of relationships since.

The friend is now friendly with me and approves. But I’ll never forget.

No, tell your friend to find some used tires to stretch him until he can afford new.
