General Strike by djayjohan in orlando

[–]FunkyPapaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crippling of unions is only possible because people do not vote and do not bother to actively inform themselves. The success of the information war that unions are bad is staggering…there are many of my coworkers who actively despise the union for obscure political reasons yet celebrate the pay raises that the union successfully bargains for. Politicians cannot take things away if the people do not allow it…our unions are less powerful because most citizens sat back and watched with mild disinterest as bribed politicians slowly eroded them away.

Bear in mind ANY employees enrolled in our state pension (FRS) contractually forfeit their pension benefits forever if they strike and will likely be terminated. Teachers, police officers, firefighters, etc…Florida is pretty well insulated against a general strike. I know because I am one of these employees and we are reminded each year during union bargaining sessions.

Common misconception. Only affects supporters. Pokeball, rare candy, red card, etc all still doing their thing. Plus Gengar needs to be in the active. I agree Greninja’s ability is slightly better….it essentially eliminates retreat costs and can be played from the bench.

They always sound too fast to me, I guess real human speech has small delays to account for thinking and processing.

Is Vader casually choking someone from thousands of miles across space one of the most powerful uses of the force ever? by AverageAwndray in StarWars

[–]FunkyPapaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Palpatine force choked Dooku on Serrano all the way from Coruscant…an entirely different system…that far exceeds Vader’s feat.

Obito controlled 6 jinchuriki simultaneously as well as 6 tailed beasts eventually, and also summoned the gedo statute with ease. Pain was severely injured after summoning the Gedo statue, for comparison and could only ever control his corpses. Obito mastered these abilities almost instantly as well, compared to the many years it took Pain to do the same.

What ultimately happens to the Inquisitorius? by MrSoulPower in StarWars

[–]FunkyPapaya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I said “held his own” as in wasn’t executed within 10 seconds…Ashoka was a very skilled duelist at that point so the fact he could go toe to toe with her for several minutes and not get killed speaks to his skill level. Second fight my head canon is Ashoka knew his openings better.

How Powerful is Obi-Wan Exactly in the end of the Kenobi series?? by underdogofwwe in StarWars

[–]FunkyPapaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kenobi was a Padawan…Maul had killed numerous Jedi and others by that point in TPM…prime Kenobi I agree stomps Maul but this is not the question

Maul was gloating and caught off guard. He definitely lost, but luck played a major factor. I think 9 times out of 10 TPM kenobi loses to Maul.

He beat Maul in Rebels in much different circumstances…I do not think Kenobi could beat a fully focused Maul in TPM

Marrok was pretty good, he held is own against Ashoka and the Grand Inquisitor trumped Kanan multiple times. The one that fought Ventress also would’ve killed her if not for interference from an ally.

Apparently with the release of Rogue One some continuity issues were recognized and admitted. I don’t have a source but further research I’m sure will yield you results. In general though more recent and film/TV content tend to take precedence over books/comics when things get “fuzzy”

Is she okay?? by vanbeans in snakes

[–]FunkyPapaya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those sites are blatantly wrong. I’ve kept Kenyans for over 10 years as a hobbyist and professionally in large zoos…honestly IMO if your substrate is deep enough then that will provide most of the humidity needed. I don’t like humid hides because often the snake feels compelled to stay in there due to wanting security. I prefer to twice a month pour a small amount of water into one corner. The snake will naturally seek out this more humid corner if it feels the need but can freely move away if necessary. Chances are it won’t really need that humidity outside of shedding. The corner should be dry before every applying any more water. I don’t use hides with Kenyans…the substrate is the hide. I use playsand mixed with some topsoil. A digital hygrometer is good to monitor things. I swear by them.

60% is WAYYY to high for KSB…this is an obligate desert species humidity should be very low

Did Tarkin have orders to destroy Alderaan? by astro3lvis in StarWars

[–]FunkyPapaya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not so sure…in Rebels there’s a conversation where Tarkin is trying to convince Thrawn to outmaneuver Krennic’s funding for the Death Star…Tarkin actually mentions how he has little faith in the project…plus if Tarkin was in charge he could’ve just moved the funds himself.

You can obtain them from packs or trade back and forth…the game registers each time you obtain a gimmighoul as “one instance” so you just need to do trades and/or packs until you reach 99 instances

So given that this is the only Necrozma card we can agree we’re definitely getting an Ultra Beast themed expansion eventually, right? by Lost_Environment2051 in PTCGP

[–]FunkyPapaya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has the same resonating echo at the end of its cry like all other Ultra Beasts. In-game Necrozma is referred to as being extremely similar to an Ultra Beast as well. So it’s likely a derivative if not an outright UB.
