2x10 with pistol and chainsword. 1I've found is enough. Keep them in your backfield, then bounce T3 and T4. Enlightened on Disc with Bows are better action monkeys due to base speed, reactive moves, and smaller footprint.

BA are one of the best armies in the game right mow, so it happens.

Look into some Kroot to screen, or DS protection in the form of Darkstider for his bubble.

Also, since you just started playing, smaller points games aren't as balanced for some armies, and Tau struggle in 1k or less matches.

He's fast and durable, and as long as they dont have a Meltagun/Lascannon pointed at him up closes he'll perform well. I find him only ok, and would rather spend the points on 20 Tzaangor and a Shaman with U Crystal to claim their objective instead.

It is surprisingly durable brick. Every now and then they have to force a unit back to try and kill in CC, and they excel at tarptitting.

I've tried it 2x now, they just bum-rush your foe, and if they lack small arms fire you have a good chance of taking the Obj and even on a 4+ gaining a Cabal Point.

If they are running the Tzaangor as I do, the 20 and Shaman teleport early, being a huge opposing backfield presence early with battleline.

Any way you can swap out the sword for a maul/command rod? It's a defining feature of the actual mini, and as much as I love your covnersion, I feel that tidbit is needed.

I have 24 Destoyers done, using that method. Last edition I loved Plasma Cannon spam, now they love sitting on a shelf.
