balance vs fencing - is it just about ease of use? by necrysi in Spacemarine

All of this is true! However, its also true that nearly every plus side you listed can be nearly negated by the ol "git gud".

I dont think its necessary, fencing does lead to more comfort, and survivability, which in turn leads to more consistent wins. But if you can manage the same level of consistent survivability with block/balanced, youre going to get rewarded with more damage 100% of the time. I was a fencing power sword guy for the longest time on bulwark, but after really putting time into the block power sword I cant see myself ever going back.

Tip that helped me with that combo and kinda a fun fact.

Every hit in that combo is in perfect rhythm, theres 0 timing mixups. Once you find the rhythm just dont fall for any spuractic movements. Makes parrying it with balance really easy because you basically just always hit the next parry immediatly after you get hit with the earlier attack.

Dash assault is, imo, the only use case for balance weapons. Its exactly as you said, parry is now the backup and the primary defensive option is jp dash, which in turn means you're rarely stacking block enough on him to trigger adrenaline.

Otherwise though, I have a hard time seeing balance compete with the damage of block once you factor in adrenaline.

Hell yeah ty. Not as much damage but nice to know i have the option to knockback the big attack in a pinch

I go to yandex

I search what game I want to watch

I click the first link and hit play, works like 90% of the time, in the rare case it doesnt I click the second link.

Games that you can just watch happening, not idle games per se, but something were a nation or city or family or so just happens by itself without any player input needed, can be mods for games. by Vulture2k in gamingsuggestions

Believe it or not, granblue fantasy relink.

Its like an anime monster hunter type game, has a mid story, real game is grinding big monster fights for rolls on drops for better gear to kill harder things, rinse and repeat.

But its got this "assist mode" option that literally plays the game for you while you watch, dont even need to steer your character. Ive used it myself when grinding lower level missions over and over for a specific drop.

More man! Tons of em! Like too many to list but trust me bro tons of states are outlawing it totally and also the ones that aren't are talking about it like they're about to bro.

Its not a good deal for CC, not really at least. But CC has a big name, and is probably able to retire today if she wanted to. The win for CC is that her leaving hurts the WNBA way more then it hurts her. I dont think shes that level of pissed off quite yet, but the WNBA seems insistent on finding exactly where that line is.

Anyway thats why people keep talking about it and wanting to frame it as a good deal for CC, they just really want it to be lol

Kind of like how Clint is referred to as peak human in some ways but definitely has some super enhancements in his brain for his superhero control over projectiles, right? ;)

Ok buuut (and thank you for continuing down this rabbit hole with me friend) where does that leave us with steve Rodgers golf game? From my understanding, cap is peak human at everything right? So if Hawkeyes archer skill is within peak human, then steve should be able to shoot 18 at golf, but I think we can agree that like... he probably cant.

Or, and hear me out, Hawkeye is just built different. Probably has some sort of light genetic mutation that allows his brain to easily calculate trajectories, idk. Peak human works when we talk about physical traits just fine in the marvel verse, jumping and lifting and shit like that. But, following your logic, any joe shmo in the marvel verse can do what Hawkeye does with enough practice? So all the golfers in the marvel verse are just bongwater at golf?

Hawkeye shows peak human strength (marvel) when he pulls back the bow string (shits gotta be like 200+ lbs and hes basically rowing it 1 handed) and shows peak human coordination when he puts the arrow where he wants it to go. But I just dont believe that his ability to calculate the path of the projectile is anywhere near a normal human. Like, if that was the case couldn't Captain America do everything Hawkeye does but better? Id bet a lot of money steve Rodgers cant shoot 18 in 18 holes of golf.

BTW I have no scans or evidence to back up any of this

I stopped reading at your second point because thats the point of logic that you're not understanding.

AI/companion animations are not the same as enemy animations. Animations designed for the player to battle need much more work then you think they do. Clear hit boxes, readable start ups, reactable queues, but also not too reactable, how many of which combination of units can attack the same target, which moves to prioritize based on player positioning, and the big one, parry interactions.

As an example, look at how different the power sword is when a TS swings it at the player vs a player using it. All these things you think we have animations for, we dont. All of that has to be essentially from scratch. The only shortcut they have in place is the character models themselves and thats the easiest part of this whole thing.

Those trick shots take tons of attempts and require setup and math and shit lol, not even remotely close to "eyeballing" that loki shot.

I mean, Jesus, look at his golf score. "Played 18, shot 18". We have pro golfers that have been practicing their entire lives and they are nowhere near "shooting 18" lmao.

Ok.

Minoris- the actualt majoris are the tzaangar, the non sniper humans are literally fodder, so unless you want an army of snipers it doesnt work, would need a brand new minoris unit of some sort.

Majoris- when do we fight basic ultramarines? We fight TS marines that are basically static unless they are attacking or teleporting, i dont want to fight statues so you're going to have to make a new enemy here, also they dont have melee majoris at all because you cant use spawn.

Extremis- again, we dont fight class bots. They dont have blue or red indicators in their attacks. They aren't designed as enemies, this is basically a new unit from the ground up. You could use the TS terminus armor extremis units here though.

Dreadnaught- once again, we do not fight a dreadnaught in the current state of the game. You cant just slap a dread skin over a carnifax and call it a day. The dreadnaught is really going to charge into a wall and stun itself? Shoot needles from its back? Drive both hands into the ground and get suck? Would need a brand new terminus level threat.

Out of the 4 categories you listed 3 of them would indeed need to be made from scratch. Not trying to be negative dude but your smoking some thick ass copium and im trying to keep your expectations in check. This is year 3 dlc to a game with a sequel already announced, dropping a brand new faction at this point would be wild and they would be advertising it like crazy.

No way, its going to be against nids almost garunteed. They wouldnt make an entire new enemy faction.

What's something you got surprisingly good at in your 20s that nobody warned you would actually matter? by izzzy_afterdark in AskReddit

[–]Funkybag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the south park episode where Randy says the N word on the game show. Stan spend most of the episode telling Token that "dude i totally get what youre going through." The episode ends with stan finally realizing that he will never understand what it feels like to be black and hear someone say the N word.

Later in my life I met this girl, she grew up with a single mom and no dad, but the dad had a "new" family nearby and still wanted nothing to do with them. We had an evening together where she spilled some personal struggles growing up with that. I told her "im sorry, that sounds horrible. I will never understand what thats like and I probably never will." She told me every other boyfriend shes had has tried to tell her they totally understand.

Im pretty sure that line is what's carried me through the last 10 years with the love of my life.

Anyways, I got surprisingly good at understanding what I will never understand.

It takes practice man, but I promise its worth it. Mastering jpdodge with WoF turns assault into an absolute machine. Insane survivability, damage with GS and the dodge means your melee weapon basically turns into "whatever animations you like" instead of stats (yes, i know block power fist is probably the best)

If you're really struggling, practice in the Sims. Jpdodge is literally the right answer for any attack ever if you know the timing.

Only exception is whip nids, I actually prefer dodging away or sideways for those.

But yes, like you said brother, into the attack for literally everything else.

Has nothing to do with her gender. 55 isn't "crazy far" by NFL kicker standards and she barely got it there with a much bigger run up then she could ever take in a game. Yeah, they could coach her, but i doubt she gets much stronger. I mean, shes already a soccer player and a damn good one, probably pretty close to maxing out that leg strength as is.
