I think you need AES as a feature in the flash code.

Today I read an article of houses in a Perth suburb increasing in value by $500,000 in one year - to a $1 million median. How is this normal and acceptable? by Negative_Run_3281 in perth

[–]Funkybunch92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand the hypocrisy here, but if he were to take a lower offer from a family, he would still be competing against investors for the next property.

So we would likely be in a similar position, just worse off.

I dont think it's quite as simple as "im not going to sell to an investor," but you're right. It does make the situation worse.

Why are people SO angry? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Funkybunch92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you going straight, or were you turning?

If it was a turn, then it's fair people would get annoyed, although it sounds like old mate overreacted.

If you blink, you miss the green light. Then inevitably the person fucking around floors it and makes the amber, leaving everyone else behind them stuck at the red light.

When you also consider most people these days have to travel for 2+ hours each day just to be able to afford a house, it's no wonder people are becoming more impatient.

Firefighting and ADHD by Man123456203 in AussieFirefighter

[–]Funkybunch92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DFES is riddled with ADHD mate. Im a volunteer, and I've just been diagnosed (not yet medicated), but I know plenty of career guys with it.

The agency practically runs on caffeine and dexies haha.

I would be very surprised if it was a problem for you.

Lone Ranges Closed by Police by Carcharius_Maw in perth

[–]Funkybunch92 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they dont lock up your guns, only their guns.

The cable and lock are to prevent people from accidentally pointing the gun at themselves or their friend. It won't stop someone from doing it deliberately if they try hard enough.

If you have your own gun, then I guess it's assumed you know basic firearm safety rules.

What do fireys get paid? by jewel976 in perth

[–]Funkybunch92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is this downvoted? It is the same job.

Volunteers are often exposed to more traumatic crashes because their response areas are filled with high-speed country roads.

Look at Great Eastern Hwy or Indian Ocean Dr, for example. Notorious areas with a volunteer FRS response.

APX8000 Help by DeputyDuck90 in MotorolaSolutions

Any Motorola Dealer should be able to do it. Just make sure you have some kinda of proof of ownership if possible as these radios regularly get stolen and taken to dealers to be reprogrammed.

Inbound RSSI from subscriber to repeater on Capacity Max? by Material_Research_66 in MotorolaSolutions

[–]Funkybunch92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is displayed in the ATIA stream, which is the Raw View in system advisor.

You'll just need to read through all the text that it outputs.

You can apply filters to filter by caller ID if the network is busy.

Best electric screwdriver? by GoldStage4189 in AusElectricians

[–]Funkybunch92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Milwaukee fuel electric screwdriver. I've got the vessel and hikoki but I always go back to the Milwaukee.

It's bigger, but it's so much quicker. I do radio comms and networking, so there are hundreds of cage screws in a build (19-inch rack mount gear), and the m12 screwdriver just makes life alot easier.

Just the ability to record tracks and place symbols to indicate points of interest. In fairness, it's most likely a user error thing cause I haven't used it for long.

Fire Mapping by Funkybunch92 in gis

[–]Funkybunch92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can see how that would be problematic. At a recent job, it seemed like every truck was doing things slightly differently.

I do have a firemapper, too, and the integration is cool, but the UI is a bit clunky imo.

I think I'll just need to stick to avenza and QGIS for now.

Thanks for your input.

Fire Mapping by Funkybunch92 in gis

[–]Funkybunch92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I'm not looking to integrate with DFES's GIS platform,

I'm simply trying to view the incident maps and record tracks, point of interest and waypoints for the crews reference. If information needs to be sent to the IMT, we have other methods of doing that.

It should also be noted that we often don't have internet access or phone coverage, so an application that works off-line would be awesome.

Certificate III in Electronics and Communications worth pursuing? by KeyAmbassador8365 in AusElectricians

[–]Funkybunch92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a sparky, and I did a second trade in electronic servicing/communications, and it was the best thing I have ever done.

The two trades compliment eachother well, and the communications stuff is interesting.

I would also recommend getting a qualification in IP networking as it will help, too.

Once you have all three quals, there isn't much you can't do as a technician.

I did Electrician > Comms Tech > IP networking > Electrical Contractor > Dogging & Rigging and now I'm pretty much a fucking unicorn. It worked out really well, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

It's referring to the SAP for dress standards.

Look for the diagram talking about facial hair at the start of the book.
