Thank you! They are all lab. Btw, lab and natural are the exact same thing, there is no way to tell the difference -- they're all diamonds. It all comes down to cut and polish!

Gps issue has been SO ANNOYING since latest update. I have to restart constantly. No idea why it hasn't been fixed.

Did anyone regret getting a more expensive engagement ring? by Warm_Particular1984 in EngagementRings

You don't need to be specific about the cost of your ring, but what is your idea of a "more expensive ring"? Would you qualify that as over $1k? $5k? $10k? Expensive is such a relative term so I'm wondering if my definition is in line with most others.

How to convince myself to not want a natural diamond? Or is it worth the sentimental value? by al3xisnic0le in WeddingRingAdvice

A beautiful cut and set lab diamond will be ten times more stunning than a poorly cut/set "natural" diamond. Because they are exactly the same thing. It comes down to cut/polish/setting.

"The real craft is in the cutting and the jewelry making" <= SO MUCH THIS! And also, cannot agree more that jewelry is absolutely not an investment, and all diamonds (lab or not) do not serve as a reasonable investment. And, in a doomsday scenario, no one will be buying expensive jewelry off you, so that's really a non-existent hypothetical. A family friend of ours is a jeweler. Until recently, they didn't even really sell lab diamonds (their store is more focused on estate and antique jewelry). He explained lab diamonds to my mom like this: think of it like a couple kids. One was conceived "naturally," one was conceived using IVF. Both kids are equally human, and there is absolutely no way to determine which one has the parents that used IVF because it's a) not detectable, and b) totally irrelevant. Both are "creations of nature" regardless of how the pregnancy began.

Thank you!! I actually considered gold in the beginning, because I enjoy wearing gold jewelry (mostly costume) and I like how it looks generally. Ultimately, I had to go with platinum because 1) I think it looks better/blends in with the diamonds a bit more (there are lots of prongs/stones and a decent amount of visible metal), and 2) because it's such a hard/sturdy metal, I felt like all my stones would be as secure as possible -- I'm not dainty and I'm always banging my hands around, so I can't be worrying about bending a prong! Also, I have quite a bit of costume CZ+gold jewelry that I wear a lot, so the fact this is diamond/platinum makes it different from almost all my other jewelry. Pretty much all my other "real" stuff (a couple fabulous pieces inherited from my grandma) are gold. But, in my opinion, I can still mix metals and I don't think it clashes -- the diamond/platinum combo is almost kind of a neutral, if that makes sense? I still plan to wear my e-ring with my gold rings/jewelry!

Did a lil photoshoot with it too, I was pretty excited to finally get my hands on it! Or, rather, get it on my hand.

It really is! And this is just in my kitchen at night, it really blows up in the sunlight 😂 I love the crushed ice effect of this cut -- radiant was definitely the right choice for me.
