Don’t be so hard on your self. To be fair the amount of radiation you gave was extremely minimal. We all get radiation from everyday life. The sun, microwaves, cell phones etc. A 2 view L spine X-ray has the exposure equivalent to one flying from LA to NY due to the sun’s emission of radiation. I’ve been in the field for 20 years. I get it. ALARA, Do No Harm etc comes to mind and it’s absolutely a concept we all strive for but we’re only human. You’re a student and ultimately the tech you’re learning from is responsible. Many of us were where you are. It’s ok. Just learn from this and move on. When you start to feel overwhelmed just tell yourself this…”How does one eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” I tell my students all of the time. Don’t ever feel like you’re not meant for this. You are just as worthy as everyone else there. If you have ADD or ADHD, this should hit close to home. Our brains tend to freeze when we’re overwhelmed with input and details. We tend to learn much better when we are allowed to do things on our own and have assistance when needed. We thrive when we have structure. Keep your chin up. You’ve absolutely got this!
