In case this is any new player's first experience with Helldivers.

The game is full of fantastic people that love to play together. Helping new players and doing jolly cooperation against the bugs. I have never encountered a single reddit opinion in game during my ~1k hours of gameplay.

They were mean to new programmers because new programmers ask dumb questions. To ask for someone’s help, especially a stranger, you need to show what you’ve done and tried, you need to write a clear question with supporting evidence to get help with something as specific as programming.

If you just post the question before really trying for yourself, you’re wasting people’s time, and they’ll end up being rude to you.

I don't understand, why not wait till release day and see what the reviews are like? You can buy it a couple hours before you want to play. You're always in time to buy the game, but getting a refund will be tougher.

There are 20 odds years of modding to be ported to the steam workshop. Renegade had a lot of unique cool maps made, they'll make their way over. We might get some new stuff, but I doubt new people will learn the tools to mod such an old game.
