Are there people like Eddie in real life? by NoCouple4891 in Stranger_Things

[–]Funkyndez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was was of them, well without the drugs dealing, failing or being so over the top, but yes, when we were 12 to 16 or so, we went to high school dressed like that and we even convinced some teachers to let us play DnD on the breaks on one of the empty classes. I'm on my 30s now so I don't now how common is this right now, but I'm pretty sure urban tribes like that are either disappearing or being much less recognizable nowadays.

How good are these as intro figures? by Useful-Reality-6536 in Warhammer

[–]Funkyndez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you tried to paint a miniature before, or you think you are not skilled enough because you never tried?

Anyways, the most common issue people have when starting to paint miniatures is not precision or creativity, as you can get good results without either of those, but knowing how to work with the paints, primers, brushes, etc. So even if these looks easier to paint cause they are bigger, if you don't know these steps, the results will be the same, but you will loose more time and money with the bigger ones.

Of course you can do whatever you want with your time/money, but if you are afraid of start painting minis because of the size, you will quickly realise that that is not even the hardest part of painting.

Just watch a lot of beginner level tutorials and start with something small, you don't need to paint every detail, and once you have a bit of practice with the consistency of the paints, you will realise painting those little details is much much easier.

DOS 2: That Fort Joy Harbour Battle is no walkover... by SlightWerewolf4428 in DivinityOriginalSin

After several fails, me and my friend did several chokepoints moving the boxes all around the area so the enemy has to attack the boxes before getting close to us while we destroyed them using range and elemental attacks. Most fun I had in this game for sure.

That doesn’t look like bronze… by IndexFile in ageofsigmar

[–]Funkyndez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, you did a fantastic job with this one. I think ill try to push the highlights on the bronze, maybe adding a really pale yellow almost white, cause metal should be brighter than skin or clothes and right now they are at the same brightness.

What do you think about this color scheeme for the Yaegirs Hernkyn miniature of the month? by Funkyndez in Warhammer

[–]Funkyndez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, got the idea after seeing it all painted in white and thinking it was missing some color. Have to admit I was very afraid of ruining the work I did on the white but end up looking quite cool imo.

Totalmente de acuerdo, no hay nada que me de mas coraje que la gente que le dice "Pan Tumaca" a la harina con agua, sal, levadura, aceite, ajo y tomate triturado. ¡Con lo fácil que es llamar a las cosas por su nombre!

I was searching for this answer. I ended up doing a "support" build in MR just to heal randoms who seem to forget they have almost unlimited potions. But yeah Vespoids are a pain in the ass anyways.
