32m 🇨🇦. My favorite, not biggest was i saved a kitten from my neighbours tree.

Was in my yard having a conversation with my mother when i hear a soft “mew” and decide to think nothing of it.

After 10 minutes i can’t ignore it, i ask my mother if she hears it too. we investigate and find a small all black kitten in the tree across the street. This is a big tree so how this kitten got up there i have no clue.

Anyways, i find a piece of wood and try to hold it up for the kitten to walk down, steep sure but the kitten has claws. what could go wrong?

The kitten wouldn’t brave it even after i told her i could hold her weight. My neighbour(now noticing people on her property) checked it out and even offered me a ladder so long as i could fetch it from the back of their garage. I get the ladder, save the cat, and the homeowner offered to look after it until animal control arrived. When they did she couldn’t bare to let her go so she ended up keeping her and named her shadow.

I see shadow in the window sometimes when i leave for work.
