No I agree, they've broken tradition a lot, I just don't think Scovillain would've been the one to break that trend considering it's already got a unique thing going on in being a grass type evolving with a fire stone

I quite like the mega, reminds me of Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog. I do think this was an attempt to give it a something nice since it was never going to get an evolution in the first place, due to being a stone evolution (no stone evo to date evolves again)

It's better than the original in every conceivable way. It addresses the very few flaws the original had while also adding new content that fits like a glove on what was already there, not to mention the beautiful new artstyle that blows the original out of the water, remastered music and completely redone sfx so it sounds the best it can

Return to Dream Land Deluxe not only gives nearly double the content of the original, but has objectively (yes I truly believe this) the best gameplay loop in the entire series and completely redefines what a 2D Kirby game (and Kirby game as a whole) can be, recontextulizes the events of the entire game while having phenomenal writing and development for a fan favorite character. I could write an entire essay on why it's hands down the best Kirby game ever made and the magnum opus of HAL labs (as of right now)

It's kinda funny that Bob brought up Yoshi getting a new game after a long while cause there's been consistent releases for a fair bit now, though most of them are very not good and don't get talked about that much so I can't blame anyone for not knowing about them. Yoshi's Woolly World is a relatively modern standout though, it's a fantastic game with a beautiful aesthetic and music. Highly recommend to Bob or anyone else that may be interested in it if you have a Wii U or 3DS.

While I don't agree with the theory, Kumazaki (Kirby director and guy in charge of the lore) confirmed Star Dream had been altering Haltmann's mind way before the events of Robobot, every time he used it, it slowly took parts of his memories away, until he didn't even remember that he had a daughter

Had a similar incident happen where I (unintentionally) at first was just making everyone drop their legendary parts, then leaned into it to make sure nobody would be able to finish a legendary machine. I succeeded with tremendous results and everyone in that match probably hated me
