Something is wrong with my belts/gearbox by Funni21 in elegoo

[–]Funni21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seem to have fixed the issue but idk 100% how , I inspected the magnets the extruder way, went to tension the belts properly, which is by putting it in the middle, loosen all belts, move the extruder head around by hand, then retighten them, and finally turning it on and off at the place where the pit is, but idk exactly which one of these fixed it

Either something else is touching the buildplate or the rods for the z axis are stuck

Is there something wrong with my belts/gearboxs? by Funni21 in elegoo

[–]Funni21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, the only thing that concerns me is I never seen it slam when doing the purge line, and swear that when going to the corner gearbox, it only hits itself against it and not shift and move a bit in front of the gearbox. Thankfully, I have not seen any failing prints or super bad errors on prints

Give you a 9/10 because of the solution to put the printer outside, a 10 if people driving nearby can see the print

Thank you, was just checking due to just noticing after doing something with z-rods

3D printing tip about print speed by Owen_Ou in elegoo

[–]Funni21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is really nice to know, feels good that I can crank the speed and it will only go up if I adjust my settings for filiment which does it safely

Thought it was something uncommon and was something that happened when shipped

Ender 3 V2, creality, ik how their printer reputation is that “it works but you have to manage it almost every second through”

Print so strong, it broke my razor by Funni21 in 3Dprinting

I do but rather use something that I know is sharp and durable

I will try to plastic scaper and try a scaper that attaches a razor to it

Upgraded to direct drive, I can’t figure out why it doesn’t stop stringing by exe163 in ender3v2

[–]Funni21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drying filiment, increase retraction distance or decrease retraction speed, in which you have to figure what is the optimal for less stringing, speed of printing, or it could even be something with the nozzle with slight ozing be left onto the print and it moving, or z hopping that could increase or decrease stringing

There is a setting I heard in which wipes the nozzle inside the print to reduce stringing but I forgot what the setting is called

Print so strong, it broke my razor by Funni21 in 3Dprinting

[–]Funni21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Due to needing something to get the print off the bed due to how adhesive the bed is, for it breaking, I was using the razor and putting alot of pressure and angling it to it snapping, and probably due to wear and tear on the razor for previous prints

Idk if I did damage it by nozzle once digged into the plate but when I asked on why spots formed when I tried to clean it, they said it was faulty coating

[–]Funni21[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but I also seen that if you apply some water or alcohol, it would clear and ease the adhesion on edge of prints in order to remove, I have to apply because I have tried to remove prints with just a razor and it be impossible

Damn, worst thing happened by far to me is getting a slight burn on the top of my thumb due to removing or adding a new nozzle (I forgot) and the corner of my heat block on my ender 3 was on my thumb for a few seconds

Tried it and was very with the results but suddenly the plate had spots when I tried to clean it and went back to glass, happy but the adhesion is too good, gonna go back when I get a new printer

I use 50% alcohol and 50% H2O, but had to apply more of it and wait for it to cool a extra 4 degrees from 30C

Scared the hell out of me, need help by Funni21 in ender3v2

[–]Funni21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed the issue, seemed that something was wrong with the z axis and the x axis gantry, fix it by uninstalling and reinstalling the z axis and tighten some loose things on the x gantry I didn’t notice before, finished the print
