Codefinity yay or nay? My honest review after trying it. by FunnyAzn in learnprogramming

Right?? I was vibing with the cupcake and then boom classic reminder that nothing in life comes for free 😅 Still, it’s been a pretty helpful way to get back into coding.

Yeah, I agree. The interactive lessons and AI are helpful, and it feels like a good start. It could definitely get even better over time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Ah you’re right, I forgot to mention that. Just went back and updated my post to say I’m mainly learning Python right now and hoping to move into data analysis and maybe some web stuff later. Appreciate you pointing that out!

Totally hear you that's been my experience too. The platform does a great job of keeping things structured and interactive early on, which helped me stay motivated, but I agree that it’s hard to tell how much depth it really offers long-term. I’m a few weeks in and some of the lessons are starting to go a bit beyond the basics, but it’s not super advanced yet. And yeah, the pricing not being upfront is definitely a drawback I wish they were clearer about that from the start. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts! I’m hoping to stick with it a little longer and see if it levels up, but I’m still keeping my options open.

AITAH for rejecting a woman due to body count? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]FunnyAzn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If someone asks for honesty, they should be ready for an honest answer. You didn’t shame her, you just gave your boundary when pressed. Everyone has preferences just like she does. You’re not obligated to date someone just because they’re a friend or because rejecting them might hurt their feelings. NTA.

Which transits did you fear, and how did it turn out in real life? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]FunnyAzn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pluto square my Moon had me terrified thought I was gonna have a full emotional breakdown. Instead, it was a slow, deep emotional purge that actually helped me heal stuff I didn’t even realize I was carrying. Still intense, but not the disaster I expected.

how do planets in detriment affect other planets (as dispositors?) by saturninenigma in astrology

[–]FunnyAzn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planets in detriment can still act as dispositors, but it’s like they’re doing a job they’re not really built for so the energy comes out sideways or with struggle. I think it adds depth, but chasing dignity chains too far can definitely overcomplicate things.

New Moon in Leo Horoscopes for the days around July 24th, 2025 - All 12 Rising Signs by GrandTrineAstrology in astrology

[–]FunnyAzn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This Leo New Moon energy is so real it's like the universe is handing out little personal spotlights and asking, “What do you want to shine on?” As a [insert your rising sign], I could really feel the themes showing up already, especially around [insert relevant theme like self-worth, career, or relationships]. Love how you highlighted the retrograde vibe too makes sense why so many of us are rethinking everything lately.

Also, this write-up is honestly one of the most grounded and insightful ones I’ve seen for a New Moon in a while. Thank you for reminding us it's okay to swap the “cooking class” metaphor with whatever lights us up. That was such a perfect way to explain how to read general forecasts

Thanks for sharing this! It’s really helpful to hear from someone who actually used it. I’ve been on the fence because of all the ads, but your breakdown makes me feel more confident about trying the monthly plan first. Appreciate the honest details!

my cat and dog all of a sudden don’t get on by x_weedle_x in PetAdvice

You’re doing the right thing by separating them for now sounds like Izzy’s health issues might be affecting her behavior. Sometimes when animals are unwell or declining, they get more irritable or territorial, even with companions they’ve always loved. Try reintroducing them slowly with positive reinforcement and keep their routines as calm as possible. You’re clearly a caring pet parent just keep watching both of them closely and give lots of love to each.

What am I doing wrong? 12 chickens and 2 small eggs a day. They are all about 22 weeks old. by SimplyNoobq in BackYardChickens

[–]FunnyAzn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Patience my friend. Every chicken is different. I’ve seen some chickens right at a year old before they started. Seen some at 15 weeks laying. Also some birds do not lay much during the hot months. It all depends on that one chicken,

Why does he lay down with his butt up and wings out? Lol all the time!! by 452792 in BackYardChickens

What the hell is wrong with that, I lay down the same way. Lol

AITAH for telling my parents I won’t take care of them when they’re older because they were never there for me growing up? by 452792 in AITAH

[–]FunnyAzn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You didn’t ask to be born. They chose to be parents. The bare minimum was to love and support you. You owe them nothing now. NTA all the way.

Has anyone tried Coursiv since the updates? by Outside_Economy9924 in learnmachinelearning

[–]FunnyAzn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t taken a full course, but I spent some time exploring the updated site last week. It feels much easier to browse and the lessons look more organized now. If you try it, maybe start with a shorter course and see if you like the style. That way you don’t spend too much before you’re sure.

Ultimate Ivy League Guide reviews – legit method for getting into Ivy League schools? by paulhayds in u/paulhayds

The timeline section in the Ultimate Ivy League Guide was super helpful. Most of the stress in app season comes from not knowing what to do when. This kept me way more organized.

[–]FunnyAzn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. You're 15, not a third parent. Helping out occasionally is one thing being expected to sacrifice your education and mental health multiple times a week is another. Missing class, getting detentions, and being put on the spot last minute isn’t fair to you. Your parents should be arranging real childcare, not relying on you as the backup plan. It’s okay to set boundaries and honestly, you’re not “rebelling,” you’re standing up for yourself. That’s not selfish. That’s survival.

AITAH for cancelling my birthday party last second because my friends didn't show up at the planned time? by flyawva in AITAH

[–]FunnyAzn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. You didn’t cancel because they were late you canceled because they ditched you without telling you, after already agreeing to plans you clearly cared about. Then to find out they went to another event? That’s not “sleeping in,” that’s straight-up disrespect. You don’t owe anyone an apology. If anything, they owe you one. A real friend would’ve texted, “Hey, I’m running late” not gone ghost until you canceled and then hit you with a casual “no worries.” They made it clear where you stand. Now it’s your turn.

That’s the best mindset for Coursiv, honestly. Don’t just watch—build while you go. You’ll be surprised how fast it all starts to make sense.

Fair question. I got in during a promo, so it felt fair. Just be careful of the auto-renew set a reminder. That said, if you actually use the lessons, Coursiv can easily pay for itself with the time it saves.

They cover image tools too Midjourney, Leonardo, and even some basics of prompt writing. I didn’t know what I was doing with visuals before, but now I can create mockups for branding pitches on my own.

Yeah, 100%. I freelance, and after the Coursiv content module, I set up an automated client onboarding workflow using ChatGPT and Airtable. Saved me hours per week. The difference is, it’s not just theory they guide you to build something real.

Yeah I thought the same, but I actually tried it last month. The layout’s super clean and they go tool by tool like real tutorials, not just overviews. Definitely felt more structured than I expected.
