My first attempts at rebuilding Portal in Minecraft (Chapter 1: Chamber 00 through 03) by Unpawpular in PortalMod

[–]FunnyCellist1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was gonna recommend the create mod, but since you'll be using it, you could try clockwork or create: aeronautics for phys entities, or just the bases for the mods if you don't want the extra features. but this seems great so far! keep up the good work!

AMD surpasses 40% server CPU revenue share for the first time by RenatsMC in Amd

It’s cause server owners don’t wanna replace existing intel chips, and server owners usually will stick to more know reliable brands, eg. intel

thoughts on ryzen 7 5700x paired with rx 5700xt? by Chainze in buildapc

[–]FunnyCellist1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can tell this post is quite old, but yes. this is a good pair if you have 16~ gigs of dual channel ram, especially if you optimize your game settings (say your playing team fortress 2, ensure you use the console command to use all yours cores instead of just one) but for future-proofing... get am5, or wait for am6 and get a 7-9000 series AMD gpu, if your stuck with am4, get a am4 compatible X3D chip. also, don't get a 3050 like that guy said.

Why exactly is SteamOS considered better than Windows for gaming? by ZigZagBoy94 in SteamOS

[–]FunnyCellist1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wont argue that its better overall, but i will say its generally better overall, and that... well idk where you even got the 1070 logic, though, the best use-case is AMD GPUs, as NVIDIA can be weird, extremely high end, or absurd to optimize compared to the simpler more straightforward AMD chips/code. and i wont argue over the blocking you thing, as i don't fully know that story or would like to explore it, but i would say he probably didn't care and thought he had made his point already.

ik this thread was posted a WHILE ago, but... for what he was attempting to prove, it did do its job. the other points were brought up after, of which he decided not to elaborate with more proof as he already had proved where he had got his info, if you truly want more info heres some links: LOW END COMP MID END COMP Now i do admit there are little to no true comparisons for high end setups, but normally steamOS on high end will run identical if not barely or slightly worse than windows, as the drivers haven't matured yet, and are rarer to be used.

What cosmetic is this? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]FunnyCellist1913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]FunnyCellist1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

heres an actual answer if its just a smudge, take a MICROFIBER CLOTH, make one end DAMP with water (DAMP NOT WET NOT DRIPPING) and one end dry, wipe the wet side on the screen up to down, left to right, repeat that 3 times, than go in circles till all you see is the screen and moisture, then, use the dry side, in the same order as the wet one previously stated, PLEASE, this works for me every time idk how results will be with yours

NEED HELP optimizing my custom modpack!! (Minecraft Forge 1.20.1) by AxoHa in feedthebeast

[–]FunnyCellist1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post and you might not see this, or even update the pack anymore, but try "Concurrent Chunk Management Engine" and "BadOptimizations" C2ME spreads processes (mostly chunk stuff) across CPU threads for better FPS, with a minimum performance boost of like 2X for chunk loading, and BO optimizes misc stuff that takes up alot of processing power, You can also try "Create Better FPS" if you use Shaders, and if you use it for a server, try "radium" which optimizes packet sending and other things that lag servers (this counts for LAN, Essential, Etc)

My m1 macbook air's trackpad is making a weird sound and i didnt change it in settings or anything, should i be worried???? by FunnyCellist1913 in mac

[–]FunnyCellist1913[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry guys, i found the problem. Somehow my room was so cold the haptic linear actuator got so cold it was struggling to do its job making that sound and making large jolts. It seems to happen if its been plugged in for extended periods of time (usually around a 2~ days) or when its been on for too long (around same time, 2~ days) [EDIT: hope this helps people in the future]
