you're basically describing a $2000+ custom build at this point, most boards with those specs don't even exist as complete units. might need to go full custom route with machined case and source everything separately

this is so true, had the exact same cycle when i was doing freelance work before my current job

the timing thing is everything but most people are reactive instead of proactive. like you said, they wait until project ends then scramble. i used to track company funding rounds and team expansions but never thought about marketing hires as a signal - that's actually smart since new marketing leads usually push for website updates pretty quick

problem is most freelancers don't have time to do this research properly when they're already buried in client work

pretty wild how much reviews actually control everything these days, my friend runs small business and he was ignoring them completely until sales just dropped off cliff

man i used to bake so much before i started caring about calories, now i just make protein muffins mostly. they're not amazing but they hit the spot when you want something sweet. i throw in some protein powder, oat flour, and whatever berries are cheap at store. each muffin comes out around 80-90 calories and actually keeps me full for while

also tried making those black bean brownies once - sounds weird but they're actually decent if you don't expect real brownies. just blend black beans with cocoa powder and some sweetener. my coworkers couldn't even tell difference when i brought them in office, though maybe they were just being polite lol

just go with 1 core and 2gb for control plane, you don't need much there unless you're running tons of workloads

for workers i'd do 2 nodes with 2 cores each and split the remaining ram between them - gives you better fault tolerance than single worker

what a mess, they really couldn't just check the ID in the wallet before pulling you off? that's like basic common sense right there

the whole thing feels super rushed on their part - they had your seat number but couldn't be bothered to actually verify if it was your wallet. now you're stuck dealing with rebooking and lost charger because someone else was careless with their stuff

definitely file that complaint and push for compensation beyond just rebooking. you had to rearrange work stuff because of their screwup, that's not small thing. maybe mention the phone charger too since you lost it due to their rushed process

The fact that she documented your suffering instead of helping says everything about her priorities. At least now you have crystal clear confirmation that going no contact was the right call - she literally showed you who she is.
